Moonlight Pack

Alpha Lucas POV

I look out through the window, and everything I see is void. I ball my hand into a fist and walk away from the window.

I miss her!

The thought of Emma clouded my thoughts, and I could hardly function. I dreamed about her smile and the sparkle in her eyes, the way she walks, and how she frowns when she is angry. The thought of not having her in my hands anymore left me yearning.

I suddenly heard a knock on my door, bringing me back from my reverie. "Come in," I said, and the door opened. I saw one of the guards, who bent his head to acknowledge me. "What is it?" I asked

"The court members are waiting for you, my lord; they haven’t been able to see you for awhile now," the guard said, and I snorted.

It’s been three weeks since Emma left the pack, and I am barely holding onto my sanity. I find it hard to address my people without the thought of seeing her invade my thoughts. The faded brown color reminds me of her, and when I see any of the slaves wearing
