Alpha Lucas POV

I walked aimlessly in the forest, and I had no direction to go; the thought of seeing Emma was the only thing driving me deeper into the forest.

I have come to the conclusion that staying in my chamber, getting riled up, destroying things, and killing people will not get me to see Emma; I can only see Emma if I go look for her.

I had called an impromptu meeting and informed the council members about my departure from the pack. Even though their eyes didn’t agree with my decision, their mouths were unable to say anything, and they just nodded.

Everyone is afraid of provoking me; I am just like a grenade that can explode at any time. I left the affairs of the pack in their hands, and I don’t know when I will be coming back.

I sigh and look at the direction of the cascading sun; the night is almost upon us, and we have been in the forest for most of the day.
