Chapter 43

Alpha Lucas POV

I look through my window, and I see the sun's yellow rays on the earth; they are cascading down the earth and setting soon. I sigh at the beautiful view, which looks sad to me.

I miss her!

I can’t think straight. I want to see Emma so badly; she has become a drug that I am addicted to. I started pacing around my room instead of attending to the files that are packed on my desk. I couldn’t think straight, so I couldn’t perform my packing duties.

I suddenly remembered Emma has a friend she is very close with and smiled. Maybe I will be able to get something from her. I needed to talk to someone that could give me a clue as to where Emma is.

I stepped out of my room and went over to the slave chambers. I ordered the guards to stay back while I went to look for her friend myself. As soon as I arrived at the slave chambers, everyone bowed their heads to acknowledge me, and I grumbled some incoherent words or, better yet, ignored them.
