Chapter 12

Elena’s POV:

I rolled out of bed and followed Nicklaus out of the plane. “Welcome to the Bahamas,” the pilot said.

Nicklaus nodded his head. I turned to them and faked a smile, trying to be composed, but I wasn't satisfied with my nap.

There was a questioning look on my face. I couldn't believe that we were coming to the Bahamas for our honeymoon, and I never bothered to ask where we were headed on the plane.

I hurried to meet up with Nicklaus. “We are in the Bahamas?.” I asked him.

He paused and turned to me. “What do you think?” He asked and walked past me. I gave him a daring look. “How rude,” I muttered silently and kissed my teeth.

Some SUVs with drivers and bodyguards were already waiting for us on the runway.

One of the guards greeted, "Welcome, sir, welcome, ma'am.” He greeted him with his head bowed low. The bodyguards were tall and imposing. They had serious faces and looked intimidating.

If I wasn't with Nicklaus, I am sure they wouldn't have given me this much respect. But they all respected me because of the wealthy business tycoon, Nicklaus Coleman.

Being rich definitely has a lot of advantages, and this is one of them. This young billionaire has everything he wants at the snap of his fingers. He had to earn respect and power in the whole world with his money.

We got into the car, and the trip to our hotel started. We found ourselves surrounded by vibrant colours and beautiful surroundings on the island.

We moved to the beautiful roads of the city, the swaying palm trees, and the beautiful flowers. The street was lined with beautiful green grass. I was in awe of the view of the Bahamas. Everywhere looked beautiful and lovely.

After a short drive, we arrived at the hotel. It was a beautiful hotel, full of luxury. The exterior painting and the walls looked expensive, and I could tell that it was a 5-star hotel meant for only wealthy people.

We walked into the hotel, and the interior was really beautiful. It looked luxurious. All of the workers in the lobby greeted Nicklaus.

The manager walked up to us and greeted Nicklaus with so much respect, as if they had known each other for a long time. The porter walked to us and took our luggage to our room.

Nicklaus turned to me, “Elena, let's go. What would you like to eat?” He asked, reaching for my hand and holding me.

“I will just have something light,” I said as we walked. The manager took note.

“You will have your meal right away,” he said and walked away.

We arrived at our room, and it was a presidential suite. It was so big and luxurious. I couldn't believe Nicklaus would pay for a suite as expensive as this.

This must cost a fortune, I am sure of it.

The food arrived immediately after we stepped into the suite. I had something and filled up my stomach before I decided to have a bath.

I stood up and made my way to the room. Nicklaus was still on his laptop. “I would love to share the bathroom with you, but I have to attend to business,” he said with a cruel smile.

I crossed my hands on my chest and narrowed my eyes. “Why would you join me in the bathroom?” I asked curiously, raising my eyebrows.

“I am your husband, and we need to make babies, of course,” he said, and a little smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

I sighed and walked into the door. I knew that I had to do my own part by producing an heir since Nicklaus was doing his part for my father’s company, but it felt too soon.

I turned the doorknob and walked into the bedroom. The room was beautifully decorated. The floor and the king-sized bed were filled with fresh red roses.

The scented candles cast a warm glow in the room, and the bedding was decorated with a white silk and satin duvet.

Nicklaus was really serious when he said he would join me. I walked into the bathroom and allowed myself to relax without thinking much about it. Everywhere looks beautiful and peaceful. I can't wait to explore the natural island.
