Titus povLeaving Lucius behind felt like a curse and blessing at the same time. I needed to stay away for a little, but I also desperately wanted to stay near him. Eden povLeaving my mates behind didn’t go how I planned it initially. Both were supposed to stay at the castle and babysit Magnus. Lucius povBy the time Xabat and Leo were done, fully content with their doings, the whole area was covered in nothing but blood. I was sure it would attract rogues soon, and no matter how much I enjoyed ripping those in pieces, we didn’t have time for that now. I encouraged Xabat to give Leo a moment to rest while we wandered the forest and found a couple of hidden bags with clothes. Although it would be a tight fit, taking in consideration that we were bigger than regular werewolves, I was happy we found anything at all. Returning to Leo, we found him sitting next to a tree, the back of his head leaned against it. I threw one bag at his feet and quickly shifted. Lucius povWe barged into the living room and froze. Never in my life had I thought that I would get this bloody turned on by seeing someone commit what technically was a crime. Murder, to be exact. Funny how I wasn’t the only one who shared the sentiment. “Fuck this, I’m as hard as a rock,” Titus muttered next to me. I gulped, nodded and added, “same, love. Fucking same.” The fact that both of us were wearing whatever clothing I found in the forest and it was too small wasn’t helping either. Titus looked like he was in pain, and Goddess, so was I. Lucius pov Needless to say Titus didn’t get what he wanted. We had to get rid of the bodies and proof that we had been there, not fuck around and find out what consequences might come. Just because I was the King and these two hotheads were my mates didn’t mean we didn’t have to follow the law. This was a personal matter, not another house of criminals burned down. At the end of the day, there was a difference between preventing someone from commiting more vile crimes and killing someone for revenge. As I bagged up the bodies and brought them outside, I couldn’t help but wonder where the pack members were. Last time we came here, the building was buzzing with life, while now it was dead and soulless. I left Titus and Eden in the living room. They were responsible for cleaning up the mess she cheated while I dug the graves these two didn’t deserve. “Maybe they sent everyone away?
