After we left my step-mother’s territory, I felt like a weight left my shoulders. I never realized just how much the existence of that vile woman and her daughter weighed down on me.

But that wasn’t all… Kanox had claimed he could see children in my future. Honestly, I felt as ecstatic as scared after learning it.

I always wanted to be a mother, simply to give my child a family just as amazing as one that was torn away from me. We already had Magnus, and honestly, I feared our boy would deem himself replaceable as another baby would enter our lives. I didn’t want him to feel that way. Ever.

Then there was a question about Lucius and Titus. I loved them both, but I knew that the moment they would learn about the possibility, they both would go crazy and push for a baby. Men, especially those of high power, were wired lik
