“Mmph…” She tried to choke back a sob, but that proved to be a mistake as instead, she choked on her cake. The sudden fit of cough shook her small body, her chest heaving as she struggled to breathe.

“Miss Naomi!” Eva yelled in panic, running closer to her while grabbing a glass and filling it up with water from the dispenser. She handed it to Naomi who chugged it down quickly.

“You're fine. You're fine.” Eva said slowly, patting Naomi's back, her touch warm and reassuring.
