Naomi stared at Zade for a while, she was trying to determine just what he was thinking, not that she could but she wanted to try, though it didn't take her anywhere.

“I'll let you think about it for a while. For now, I have something that I have to tell you, you can sit down over there.” Zade pointed to the farthest sofa away from him, but she could still hear him closely.

“I've received news about Allen,” Zade began, watching as Naomi tensed up, her body trembling, “He's searching for you as we speak, he has his eyes on the whole city.” Naomi's heart pounded in her chest, her pulse quickening at the mere mention of Allen’s name.

She forced herself to sit on the sofa Zade had pointed to, her legs feeling weak beneath her, “He’s… looking for me?” She managed to choke out, her voice barely a whisper. The room seemed to close in around her, the walls pressing in tighter as fear took hold.
