“So which one do you want? My body, my heart or my life?” Naomi questioned at that moment, Zade knew that he had to be extremely careful with Naomi. She was too scarred as a human and he didn't even know the extent of it. So Zade decided to take the hard way out.

“Naomi, I apologise if I gave you the idea that I needed anything from you, and I definitely do not need what you have just mentioned.” Zade began, his voice low but calm, “I'm a sought after person, mostly between the ladies and even a few men, I don't need a woman like you to pleasure me, that is, I have no interest in your body nor any intention to take your heart and definitely not your life. I am a doctor, I can't take your life away from you.”

Naomi’s eyes narrowed at Zade’s words, her fingers trembling slightly as she clenched her hands into fists. She was used to people wanting something from her, her body, her obedience, her silence. His calm rejection of all three made her feel small, like a broken toy
