Severing Bond

Dina's POV:

My eyes widened at his question. What is he talking about? If I am not human, then what am I?

“You said you want me to prove to you that you belong to me,” he reminded me of the words that landed me in this mess, his breath sending heat across my face. The room, which was once warm, now became hot. “Answer my question, and I will show you what it is to belong to someone.”

His eyes locked into mine, he pressed, our clothes an obstruction to our skin contact.

“I am human,” I muttered, forgetting how to breathe.

“You are? Does a human have the ability to heal their wounds without leaving scars?” He asked, his voice low and demanding.

Even though I want to run away from him and escape this hell I am in, like a spell charming me into entering the obvious fiery pity, my body keeps objecting.

Every part of my body craves his touch! This isn't the first time I had wanted a man to touch me, but this is the first time I am unable to control the lust burning through me, breaking every rigid part of me that holds the word ‘morality’.

“It has been like that ever since I was born. My mother said it was a rare gift given to me by heaven, while my father calls it a curse—a curse that is different from others,” I revealed, recalling how my father would call me ridiculous names. I remembered how my father would yell at me and accuse me of being the reason for his ruined life.

Even though he kept revealing his horrible sides to me, I kept making excuses for him. After all, he is the only person in the world I could call my father.

“I asked you just a simple question, Dina,” he said, distracting me from my thoughts. His hand reached my face, tilting it up a bit, his gaze now fixed on my neck. “I hate humans. They are too noisy and unmatchable to me.”

I remained still. Calculative. Vigilant.

“As you said, you want to go back home. Back to your blind mother, right?” His question hit me hard, making me realize my main motives—to escape from here and return to my mother.

My heart, which was racing faster so suddenly, came back to normal, the lust burning through every part of my body disappearing instantly. Even my body knows there is nowhere like home. Sweet home.

“If you allow me to, I would be so grateful, please,” my voice, which was barely audible, echoed loudly, almost pleading.

He smiles darkly at my response before letting go of me. He took two steps backward before muttering, “If you want to go back home, accept my rejection.” He paused abruptly, his gaze fixed on me. “I, Alpha Lykoz MoonRise of the werewolf realm, reject you, Dina, a weak human.”

“What rejection am I to accept?” I asked, confusion written all over my face.

LYKOZ POV:

Her ridiculous question made me ball my fist. I can't stand seeing her any longer. My wolf is gradually becoming uncontrollable every time I am next to her.

Earlier, it was hard to endure the pain of holding back the urge to kiss her, claim her body, and put my claim on her. But there is no way I am going to claim a stupid and frail human girl.

She doesn't have any attribute or deserve to be my Luna!

“Dina,” I called out, lowering my gaze slightly. “Since you are human, I guess you might not know what it meant to be rejected,” I paused, studying her facial expression. “To be rejected means you are being abandoned by the man destined to spend forever with you. When you accept my rejection, the both of us would be free from that ridiculous fate.”

I watched her lips curl into a bright smile. “If I accept your rejection, does that mean I can go back home and never have anything to do with you?” She asked, sounding excited.

“Yes,” I nodded.

“How am I going to accept your rejection?”

I hesitated before replying, “Repeat this statement after me,” I paused, giving her the chance to get ready. “I, Dina of the human realm, accept your rejection, Alpha Lykoz MoonRise.”

“I, Dina of the human realm, accept your rejection, Alpha Lykoz MoonRise,” she repeated the statement, but nothing happened.

“Repeat it again!” Unable to hide my nervousness, I instructed.

It can't be what I am thinking, right?

She accepted my rejection again, but nothing happened. Our bond was not severed; instead, it became stronger.

“Can I leave now?” Her voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

Struggling with my wolf, who was about to take control of this moment, I couldn't answer. All I did was stare at her, my head aching, tears welled up in my eyes, and my forehead clustered with sweat.

“Are you okay?” She hurried to me before I could stagger to the ground, her melodious voice making matters worse for me.

In no time, my wolf's power suppressed mine, a situation that only happens under the night of the red full moon.

“Wait here, I would go call your—”

“Stay with me, mate!” My commanding voice echoed, terrifying her on the spot. I felt my hands move to her face before cupping it. “Your face. Your lips. Your body. Your soul. Every part of you is mine to claim, mate,” I growled, my hand touching the parts I called out.

I tried controlling my wolf, which was now in full heat, but I couldn't. I suddenly became a vessel he could control at his will.
