First Time In Many Years

LYKOZ POV:

“My Alpha, is everything alright?” Zach's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

“Yes,” I replied sharply.

Since I am not sure about what I saw, I decided to keep it to myself. I would make sure no one knows of this until I find out about her identity. Either she is a rare kind of human or something bigger than my imagination.

“My Alpha, I would advise you to give her time to rest,” the physician suggested before taking his leave.

“I want to be alone,” I muttered coldly. “Beta Zach, wait for me in my office. I want to have a talk with you.”

“Yes, My Alpha.”

After everyone left, I placed my hand on her pale face, wanting to see a vibrant look on her face again.

I don't know how it happened, but the crazy urge to bury myself inside a hole and go insane while having sex suddenly disappeared.

This is the first time in many years that the night of red full moonlight didn't bring me misery. It didn't make me go insane, nor did it make me murder someone again.

“Dina, you can't die without my permission!” Knowing it is of no use, I whispered before leaving for my office.

After sitting down, I raised my gaze to meet Zach before I began. “I want you to find me whoever hurt her and bring them to me.”

“You said you were—”

“I am not asking for your suggestion,” I cut him off. “I am instructing you as your Alpha!”

“Yes, My Alpha,” he replied before turning to leave.

“One more thing,” my voice made him halt. “I want you to postpone our annual event. Also, I want you to find those who hurt my mate in secret. I don't want the elders to get involved in this.”

DINA POV:

I heard him whisper into my ear but pretended to be asleep. I felt like shutting my eyes and never opening them.

I am afraid of the judgmental gazes from everyone. I am afraid of Lykoz's reaction towards my disobedience.

“You are awake?” The lady who cleaned me up earlier asked calmly.

I smiled faintly before replying, “Yes, I have.” I sat up, not feeling the pain of the deep stab. “What is your name and what do you do here?”

My question made her smile faintly. “I am Ayira. I have been working in this pack house for the past twenty years,” she replied. “I was promoted to the Alpha's chief servant last year.”

“From the way you are working hard, I can tell you deserve that position,” I teased, making her smile.

“I have been talking about me, won't you talk about yourself?” Ayira asked.

I hesitated before replying, “My father abandoned my blind mother. He didn't pay off his debt before abandoning us, making me the one to automatically pay his debt.” I paused, the memories crawling in. “I got kidnapped, auctioned off and then got bought by Ly… Alpha Lykoz.”

“Everything happened faster than I could process.”

As if she knew the pain I was trying to buckle in, she placed her hands on mine. “It is going to be fine. Everything will be fine, okay?” She muttered, her brow gathered together.

“I did not want to…”

The rest of the words stuck in my throat the moment Lykoz walked in. His presence made her flash back to yesterday.

His action. His words. Everything suddenly rushed in like a wave, causing my head to spin.

“Greetings, My Alpha,” Ayira greeted, breaking the silence and tension in the room. “I will take my leave, sir.”

After she left, Lykoz walked up to me. He had a stern look on his face with his hand tucked in his pants pocket.

“I am sorry I made you feel worried last night,” I apologized, trying to reduce the tension here.

“You are just sorry?” He sneered before closing the gaps between us. His hand reached for my neck, choking me. “What did I say would happen to you the next time you try to run away from me?”

The air in my throat suddenly disappeared, my heart racing as if it was going to break out of the ribcage. “I… I am…. Sorry…” I stuttered, hoping he would forgive me this time.

“Didn’t I say I would break every part of you?” His voice came hoarse, making something I never knew existed inside me awaken. “And make you know you belong to me? Mine alone!” He repeated the same words he said at the hotel, his hot breath fanning my face.

“Then prove to me that I belong to you!” My eyes widened at the words which rolled out of my mouth. I swear, I didn't say them.

He slowly freed my neck, his hand raising my face, my eyes finally meeting his grey eyes. The most beautiful pair of eyes I have ever seen.

“If you want me to prove to you that you belong to me, then answer my question. An honest answer is all I need,” his voice was deep, masculine and hot, making me want to do whatever he asked for.

I just don't know how to explain it, but I suddenly want him. I want him to be inside of me, banging me mercilessly and controlling every part of my body like his toy. A toy he bought for five thousand dollars!
