LEAH’S POV

Too many thoughts kept bugging my mind. I didn’t have a good sleep last night, making the corners of my eyes stung with soreness due to lack of sleep.

The next morning, Felix came early in the room to check on Bella. I watched him gently examine her, his hands moving with practiced ease as he checked her vitals and reviewed the latest test results.

“She’s doing much better now.” He turned to me after he finished the check-up, speaking in a clam and reassuring tone. “Her vitals are stable and there’s no sign of any lingering issues. Just let her take the vitamins I’ll prescribe and ensure a healthy diet for her.”

A sigh of relief escaped my lips as I nodded my head at him. “Thank you.”

The tension from last night still lingered in the air, especially after my encounter with Hudson and Brixton. I was trying to shake off the uneasiness and awkwardness I was feeling, especially in front of Felix.
