Chapter 9

When I got home, I printed the divorce agreement and signed my name to it before leaving with a determined heart.

To my shock, Gina was there when I exited the house.

She was clutching the pregnancy test I'd dropped, and with a manic expression, she drove her car straight into me.

Gina crushed both my arms. My face was entirely disfigured too.

Then, she took my body to Nathan.

Having heard what Gina said, Nathan wanted to laugh at the irony of it all.

"I've given you so much, but you're still not satisfied!" he said. "You still felt the need to kill Charlotte!"

"Of course!" Gina retorted. "How was I supposed to vent my resentment if I didn't kill her?"

Only now did Nathan realize what kind of a person Gina actually was.

He was overwhelmed with anger, resentment, and anguish. He wanted to choke Gina to death to avenge me, but sadly for him, he couldn't do it.

All he could do was cry in remorse for the things he'd done.
