Chapter 6

Nathan's expression was dark and stormy.

Gina grabbed his arm in fear and asked, "What should we do now, Nate? Will the police trace it back to us? I don't want to go to prison!"

She and Nathan were in this together now.

Settling the churning emotions inside of him, Nathan said gravely, "I'll think of something. If the police latch onto us, I'll tell them I did it, and that it has nothing to do with you."

Upon hearing that, Gina was bursting with joy. She tiptoed and planted a kiss on his chin.

"You're so good to me, Nate!"

Seeing how happy she was, I felt nothing but mockery.

Nathan, were you that madly in love with Gina that you'd even take the fall for the crime she committed?

Would you still say that if you knew that I was the person she killed?
