Chapter 7

Being a spirit, I was easily able to see how the police interrogated both Nathan and Gina. They started by targeting Gina, who was more vulnerable to psychological tricks. They told her Nathan had confessed everything.

Gina didn't believe them at first, but the police simply pushed a bit harder, and her defenses came crumbling down.

Crying, she declared, "Ask Nathan about it! He knows where the body is! It wasn't me. It was Nathan who did it! He's the killer. He did everything. I don't know anything. Let me go!"

The police immediately went over to Nathan's interrogation room and informed him, "Gina told us everything. She said you're the mastermind. If you give a confession, you may receive a more lenient sentence, but if you don't, it will only get worse for you. So, tell us what you did."

Although Nathan had promised to take the fall on Gina's behalf, he was still shocked to hear that she'd pinned all the blame on him.
