Gone by her

Hours gone by Avanti hasn't returned home.

It was seven In the evening to be precise. Abhishek comes back home and finds us trying to phone his sister.

He joins in the search after noticing her phone was switched off.

I followed him in his car to search around the streets.

We went to all the available places he thought Avanti would be.

Unfortunately, there was no sign of her.

"Where could she be?"

I said, kicking a stone on the ground.

Abhishek asked me to calm down. He promised nothing was going to happen to his sister and I saw the determination in his voice, but the question is, where are we going to find her?

Abhishek got a call from home, and he was happy. And when I asked, he told, me Avanti had come home.

We got into his car and drove back in a hurry.

Abhishek parked the car at the front and we both ran in seeing her sitting next to Karan.

Karan came to us and told us what happened.

He said, he found her unconscious in a lonely street, but the question is, how the hell did he find her so quickly?

If it was a random person that found her, it would have been a lot more believable.

Something isn't right.

It would seem Abhishek heard my thoughts and asked Karan the same question.

Karan went quiet for a while but replied with a believable response.

I looked at Avanti who didn't alter a single word.

Mr. Ajay asked me to send her to her room and make sure she rested.

I shook my head and left with her. We stepped into her room and she fell in my arms.

I dragged her to the bed and kept her there.

Avanti remained there and said nothing, it almost felt like she lost her speech.

Abhishek walks in after a while and finds his sister In a quiet mood.

He goes after her to talk, but he turns her back and faces the other side.

Avanti sure was acting strange. It almost felt like something happened that we didn't know about.

Abhishek and I left her alone to rest, we walked down together having a lot to discuss.

We both didn't buy Karan's act of heroism and swore to find out the truth, the following morning.

We departed and went to our rooms

The next morning, I heard noises coming from downstairs.

Immediately I ran out to find out what was happening.

Avanti had a temper, she held a knife to her stomach and wanted to kill herself...

I got ahead and tried to talk her out of the insane attitude.

She refused to budge and swore if I took another step to her, I would lose my best friend.

I withdrew immediately. That wasn't a mare threat, Avanti might be a cool and loving person, but there was one thing she was.

Hot strong-headed.

And being strong-headed enough to do something stupid in a fit of rage.

I noticed Abhishek sneaked around.

He gave me a clue to keep her talking.

I continued begging Avanti not to do anything she might regret.

She nods against it and tries to stab herself in the stomach.

Luckily, Abhishek rushed in on time and saved her.

He slapped the knife away and angrily whacked her on her face.

Avanti held the affected cheek and stared at her brother with a sad gaze.

She fell on her knees and apologized for what happened.

Abhishek pulled her up and asked what was happening.

Avanti couldn't say anything.

The doctor was called in by Mr. Ajay, they took her back to lie on her bed while the doctor examined her.

Afterward, I visited her.

She cleaned her tears immediately after I walked in.

I'm certain Avanti is hiding something from me.

I locked the door and dragged her up from the bed. She was startled by that and ordered me to let her go.

I refused to.

"Tell me, what happened to you?"

I asked.

She managed to push me away and lied to my face.

I refused to believe it, I kept on being persistent until she got so vexed and shouted someone had raped her last night.

I pulled back in awe.

I refused to believe her. Like I thought she just said that out of spite.

Avanti sat down back on my bed and repeated the same words.

She cried in my presence and I am scared to know how that happened.

I wanted to inform everyone at home. Avanti made me swear not to tell anyone, including her brother.

I made that promise not to tell anyone.

I left her alone to rest and on my way down, Abhishek stopped me to ask after her.

I had no other choice but to lie to him.

I concealed such a huge truth from him, just to save her from more guilt.

I walked into the kitchen and left holding a glass of warm milk to her bedroom.

Avanti was fast asleep. I kept the milk on the table and left her to rest.

I got into mine and not expecting anyone inside, I saw Abhishek.

He was sitting on my bed. He asked me to lock the door, I did and slowly came too close to him

"Please seat, javelin,"

He smiled.

I sat down unable to recognize what he was cooking inside his head.

He got up from the bed and faced me with his back.

I had so much thought and he turned eventually and said.

"Tell me what happened to my sister?".

I got up and laughed nervously.

That alone gave him the notoriety to fish out that something did happen.

He requested once again for the truth.

It seemed I couldn't lie anymore, I got my head lowered and told him everything.

He hit a vase out of anger.

He barged out of the room and I went after him.

He was so close to his sister's room when I met up and stopped him from going in.

Abhishek is so strong-headed just like his sister, I begged him not to confront her.

At first, he didn't want to listen but ended up doing exactly what I wanted from him.

Thank God I got to him on time before the news got to everyone at home.

He gets a call and leaves.

I rode back to my bedroom, however, on my way, I passed Avanti's room.

She looked so peaceful sleeping.

I locked the doors of my bedroom until the following morning.

The next morning, I got up quickly and rushed over to Avanti's bedroom.

I thought she must have woken up but I met her sound asleep.

I rode to her and gently tapped her to wake up.

There was no movement and I got anxious.

I raised her from the bed, yet she fell back down.

This isn't right.

I took a step backward and Just when I was about to leave, I found pills scattered underneath her bed.

Sleeping pills?

Did Avanti overdose herself?
