Panicked

That same day at night. I passed dad's bedroom going into mine. I didn't want to sleep in the same bedroom with it Abhishek.

I was just on my to my bedroom, I had grabbed unto mine and pushed myself inside a room.

I gasped and turned around to see Abhishek standing at the door.

He locks it.

"Javelin, been waiting for you,". He says as he slowly approached me.

I went back. I held my hand back and without knowing it, I fell unto the top of the bed, and he falls right on me.

We locked eyes.

"You look beautiful,". He says to me.

I smiled, it seems Abhishek is asking strange tonight.

"Tell me, sir, you feeling alright?". I asked.

Abhishek laughed.

He takes up his hand and caressed my face, he tilted his head down a little as if he was just about to kiss me when we heard a huge commotion downstairs.

We both stared at the door.

Abhishek pulls away, he turns to me.

"What's going on?", He asks.

"I don't know, but we should go and check,". I say, facing him...

Abhishek grabbed my hand, and we both ran out of the room on reaching the living room, we met Avanti just stepping out of her bedroom.

She found us walking to her.

I looked at her, "what's going on?" I said.

She shook her head, running ahead.

I went after her and we both came facing a startling scene.

Mrs. Anuradha. She's here?..

"Mom what are you doing here?". Abhishek said as she went ahead...

Karan's sisters were taken back from her angry gaze.

She looked at her again before facing her son.

"What is the woman doing here?".

She says, her eyes walk away and she faced me.

"You! Why are you still here,?" She walks closer, as I pulled away.....

"Mom!" Avanti grabbed her back.

She pulls her hand away, " don't touch me, what is happening here,". She faced me again, " I thought as soon as I got rid of her, she wouldn't come back again,"... Mrs.AAnuradhaa yelled.

It's surprising to see that after so many months apart, Mrs. Anuradha won't hate me anymore.

But what was I thinking?

Her hate consumes her a lot.

After all, I've done, she still hates me and I don't think, having her around will help me at all.

Firstly, my parents came without announcing.

Secondly, Karan's sister is also around, and to top up everything, Mrs. Anuradha is back from the mental asylum.

Can things get any more complicated...

"Hey! What's all the commotion about!".

Mom interrupts us with her words.

Mrs . Anuradha faced her and said, " what's going on?" She looked at her son, " who is she?". She asked.

Avanti looks at her and I looked right back.

She gave me a quick squeeze on her face before running off to meet her mother.

She held her hand she said.

"Come with me mom, ".

"Why?". Mrs. Anuradha asked.

She faced me, "tell me javelin, who is that woman, standing right there!". She pointed at mom while facing me.

Avanti held unto her mom, " let's go,". She said as she tries to take her away.

I gave Abhishek a quick nod, she understood and immediately dragged her mom to her bedroom.

I'm sure she would tell her everything.

Mom comes and meets me.

"Dear! Who was that?". She asked.

"Abhishek's mom,". I said as I Faced her...

"Let's go, upstairs mom,". I said as we both left together...

While going, I turned back to find Karan's sister walking slowly approaching Abhishek.

I wanted to stop. But I can't do anything that might trigger mom's attention.

I walked her to the bedroom, going to mine.

The next morning. I went out to wake up my parents, however on reaching there, I overheard noises coming from down, I followed where the noise was coming from only to bump into everyone at the breakfast table.

Abhishek saw me coming and said.

"Good morning javelin,". He says walking his eyes away.

He faced his mom, when I did Mrs. Anuradha was busy folding her face like someone angry...

Our eyes met in tht process, she hissed and immediately looked away.

Mom noticed that she says.

"Is everything okay?". She asked.

I faced her, " yes mom! Everything is fine," I said, looking at Mrs. Anuradha again.

Avanti gets up and walks into the kitchen.

I saw her leaving inside and followed her.

In the kitchen. She turns and saw me staring lost at the bowl of soup on the table.

"Javelin, you okay?". She said.

I faced her and smiled.

"I'm okay, just worried that your mom might do something,"... I said, uncertain.

Avanti laughed. She grabbed my hand, "dear! Don't worry about my mom, I told her everything and she's quite happy, not to tell anyone about the marriage between her son and you,". She grinned, " so don't worry, she's not going to say anything until your parents decide to leave,". She said.

I removed my hand and said.

"I do hope that they leave very soon,". I grabbed the bowl of soup walking out of the kitchen.

Avanti laughed as I heard her behind.

I went back to the breakfast table, I placed the soup on the table...

Mrs. Anuradha raises a little to look inside the bowl. She frowned and said, "what's all this?",

I pulled up my gaze to her.

"It's soup," I said.

"What kind?". She rudely replied.

I heard but chose to ignore it.

Avanti walks out of the kitchen again after some time, she placed some more bowls on the table and looked at me.

"Shall we?" She says.

I shook my head, handing her the spatula.

Avanti takes it away.

She was Just about to serve when we heard things fall behind.

We all turn, spotting Karan's sister falling from the stairs.

Abhishek panicked.

"Hey," he yelled.

He was the first person to run out to save her. As we all followed.

Karan's sisters almost hit the ground.

Thankfully Abhishek had her grabbed on time. She falls on his hand...
