Chapter 213

Emily found herself in the middle of a garden, ahead of which laid a small river. She chuckled silently as she strolled towards the river.

Almost immediately, she caught sight of a figure walking past the river in a hurry. She hastened her pace and approached him immediately, curious to ascertain what someone was searching for in such a peaceful and serene place.

“Richard?” She asked with shock written all over her face. A wave of mixed feelings washed through her as she couldn’t tell if she should be excited or sad.

“I knew you would come here. Your heart still beats for me”, Richard commented with a wide smile spread across his lips.

Emily gulped and reciprocated with a soft gaze. And then, she raised her fingers and dug them into his curly hairs, giggling in the process, just like old times.

“I missed doing this”, she said, a sincere comment, after which she pulled him into a warm hug, inhaling his sweet fragrance.
