Chapter 215

For a moment, it felt as though the world was on standstill. The only thing Richard was concerned about was the beautiful lady who was taking slow ambles towards him.

A small smile of relief washed through his face as he held his chest and broke into loud laughter.

“A part of me was certain that you would come. At several points, doubts made to overshadow that thought”, Richard said to Emily the moment she reached where he stood.

For unknown reasons, Emily smiled and, somewhat, blushed.

Richard’s heart was gladdened, and his excitement was at the peak. For a moment, he couldn’t utter a word to her and when he finally did, all he did was stutter.

“You don’t have to say anything. We can remain silent for the moment”, Emily suggested, after which she trudged forward and sat down at the chair close by.

Richard sauntered behind her, admiring her every detail and wishing that he could grab her from behind.

“How is the baby?” He asked calmly, with various emotions running through his eyes.
