Chapter 214

“I would be fine, I promise”, Emily said to Brian for the hundredth time.

Brian only nodded his head and fixed his gaze on the phone which he held in his hands. He was chasing clouds, and the more time that passed, the more he realized that he may never have Emily to himself.

“You have a baby here at home. A new baby. Are you willing to leave him here, just because you need to see Richard?” Brian asked with a cracked voice, trying so hard to conceal how shattered he felt at the moment.

Emily gulped hard and narrowed her gaze to the little being who was sleeping peacefully. Indeed, she was taking a rash decision by leaving him behind, but her emotions were beginning to get the better part of her.
