Chapter 217

Barbara was swift with her movement and after threatening the security people at the gate, she drove away from the premises and headed some blocks away.

After a while, she caught sight of Emily, who seemed to be rushing out of the tower while wiping off the tears that welled up in her eyes.

For a moment, Barbara wondered what could have possibly went wrong between the lovebirds, but after a while, she remembered her reason for staying; she was going to trail Emily.

Emily walked over to the car, which Brian provided her with. She picked up her phone which laid on the seat and with a deep sigh, she glanced at it.

She had forgotten to take her phone with her to the tower, and it wasn’t surprising to see countless calls and messages.

All messages came from Brian, but then, it looked as though it were in a transient format. He sounded cool at first, where he dropped different messages relating to how difficult it was staying alone with a baby. And then, he suddenly asked where she was and
