Chapter 210

Richard slowly turned the door knob that led to the recuperating room where Barbara was taken to.

He swallowed hard while trying to remain calm and emotionless.

All he felt was regret. Never in his life did he imagine that his wife would betray him in such manner.

“Murderer!” He muttered under his breath as he watched how peaceful she was while she slept.

“How could she look so peaceful in her sleep, even after what she did?” He thought silently.

Just then, Barbara stirred and sat up on the bed, blinking her eyes rapidly and trying to take note of where she was. A wave of familiarity and a regrouped memory passed through her head and deep down her mind, she smirked in delight.

However, she needed to pretend as though she had no idea of what had happened.

“What happened? I felt the worst pain of my life”, she said silently as she peered into Richard’s eyes.

Richard wore an indifferent look. He only stared at her without any emotions dancing in his eyes.
