5. She Will Be My Luna.

“Alpha, your father is here!” Cayden, my Beta rushed into the room, his voice laced with worry.

 His loud call was enough to jerk me up from my slumber. I didn't realize when I fell asleep, but what I did know was that Aurora was beside me, still unconscious.

 I rubbed the sleep off my eyes as I stared at the panicking body language of my Beta.

“What's wrong, Cayden?” I asked him.

“Your father is here. He's rushing to this room immediately, and he's furious,” he said.

 I look at him with surprise. How did the information get to my father immediately that I came home late last night? As much as it was what was on my mind, I hoped it wasn't what I was thinking.

“What? Why is he angry?”

 Cayden grew silent. The guilty expression on his face gave me the answers I needed. He had spilled everything to my father. 

“Eh… I'm really sorry Alessandro, I just…”

“You told my father that I brought her here, didn't you?” I asked.

“I didn't have any choice. He was asking about you and was getting worried, and I had to tell him the truth,” he said.

“Damn it!” I growled. “Why did you do that, Cayden? Did you tell him her identity?” I asked.

“I'm sorry, Alpha, but…”

“You told him about her?! How could you do that?” 

“I was…”

 Before he could say anything, the door burst open and my father stormed inside the room, his eyes so red, I knew he was very angry. I had already guessed in my mind what he wanted to tell me.

“Father, why are you wearing that expression on your face?” I asked him. He didn't say anything in response and just glared at me.

 Immediately, his stern glare shifted to Aurora who was behind me. 

“What the hell is that girl doing here?” He asked his brows, cocked.

“She really needed help and I had to help her, Father. I had no option. I had to save my mate.”

“She's not your bloody mate!” My father growled. “She betrayed you, your love, our trust, and her family too. She doesn't deserve to be here!” He yelled. 

 I could feel the intensity in his words, and I knew that I had to stand my ground, or else, he would order Aurora to be thrown out of the packhouse. 

“She might have betrayed her family, my love, and even our family's trust, but you have to understand that she was naive. She isn't like that anymore. Because she has realized her mistake,” I said.

“What has she realized, exactly? That she shouldn't have fallen in love with her father's enemy?! Take her away now, before I lose my mind,” my father said, and turned around to leave, but stopped.

 There was some awkward silence for a few seconds. Cayden was already feeling afraid because he knew my father was angered by the situation.

 My father turned around.

“I told you to take her out. What are you still doing?” 

“I can't do that, Father. I'm sorry. She will stay here in the packhouse,” I said.

“What?! Are you willing to take sides with that girl?!”

“I am, Father because that's what my heart wants. I don't care if she betrayed me, I still love her,” I said.

“Why are you defending her?!”

“Because she's pregnant! She has a child, Father!” I said, finally revealing the truth.

 I could see the utter shock in my father's eyes. 

“What the hell d-did you just say?”

“Yes, Father. She's pregnant. That is the reason why I want to help her. If the real father of the child can't take responsibility, I will, as her future Alpha,” I said.

“Abomination! She's nothing but a whore!”

“Father!” I yelled. “She's not a whore. She made a mistake, but she has learned from it. When I saw her, she was almost killed by rogues, and I saved her. No matter what, she's not leaving the packhouse, not until I choose to let her go,” I said.

 My father's eyes widened. “Are you willing to take the side of this woman, over your own family?”

“I'm sorry, Father, but my heart wants to protect her. I will take responsibility for her and her child, and I will protect her,” I said, determinedly.

“Even if it means going against your family?” My father asked, glaring at me with angry eyes.

 I swallowed hard. This was a tough decision to make, but I knew what I wanted, what my heart and my wolf wanted. 

“Sorry, Father. She will be my Luna, and I, the father of her child. I will fight for her, even if it means going against my family, I will fight till I die to protect her.”
