3. Banished From The Pack.

 Three Weeks Later.

“What the hell did you just say? That's not possible!” My father growled, staring with fiery eyes at the doctor, burning with rage.

“That's what the test says, Alpha Ambrose. I dare not lie to you, Alpha,” the doctor, an elderly and fairly aged man, trembling in front of my father, said.

“What did you say? What's wrong with her?”

“She's pregnant.”

My heart stopped beating for a fraction of a second, and my guts sank. The news resounded in my ear, and I wondered if I heard right. I had felt sick for the past weeks, and my father had the pack doctor come examine me.

“No way! My daughter cannot be pregnant. How the hell is that even possible?” Dad said, furiously.

The anxiety was beginning to spring up in me, and I felt my bones weakening. My head was clouded with a lot of thoughts about how I could be pregnant. It wasn't that I didn't know the cause, yet, it was just that this was the end for me.

“That's what the test says, Alpha. She has been throwing up and has been sick, so I conducted a test on her. It's positive. She’s about three weeks in,” he said.

My father's deadly stare shot at me, as he gazed down on me lying helplessly on the bed, just watching on.

“D… do you know about this? What the hell is he talking about?” He asked me.

Goddess, save me. I didn't know what to tell him, or how to even explain it. I couldn't believe that my mistake with Adrian would cause me to bear his child, and now, the truth was about to come out.

“I… I… this isn't…”

“Answer me!” My father barked at me, and I shook on the bed.

“I'm sorry, father. I don't even know how it happened,” I lied. That was the only way out. He would kill me if I told him the truth.

My father's eyes widened. “You already got knocked up by Alessandro?” He asked.

“No,” I quickly refuted. “I didn't do anything with him,” I said.

His gaze burned harder through my soul, making me terrified, and I couldn't move, as if struck with paralysis.

“Then, with another man?!” He asked.

I was the biggest disappointment, the biggest loser. Used, rejected, insulted, and now, I am pregnant. I could see the disappointment in his, and my mother's eyes. More than that, in the eyes of my future husband.

Alessandro was there with us. He had come to visit when I was being checked by the doctor after he heard about my illness, and he just watched on. I was a disgrace to my family.

“It was… um… it was… A… Adrian,” I said, finally spitting out.

My father was silent, with his mouth open, as if he didn't understand what I said.

“What? Who did you say?”

“I'm sorry, father. It was Adrian,” I admitted, tears rolling down my cheeks.

“Who the hell is Adrian?” He asked.

“Future Alpha of the Moon shadow Pack.” I let it out.

“What? Moon shadow Pack? The rival pack of ours?” He asked.

“Y… Yes.”

“No way!” My father yelled, grabbing the glass jug on the table and smashing it on the ground. My mother screamed in fear.

“My enemy's son? He did that to you?”

“I'm very sorry, father. I didn't mean for it to be this way,” I said.

“I'm going to kill that boy,” he said, with strong hate tangled in his voice. “He took advantage of you, and he's going to die for it,” my father said, turning around to leave, when I quickly stood up from the bed and grabbed his arm.

“Father, no. It's not what you think. He didn't take advantage of me,” I said, with my head low as I knew I couldn't hide the truth anymore.

My mother was beginning to cry, seeing my father so agitated.

“If not that, then what happened?” Father asked.

“I… I was so drunk that I didn't know how it happened, Dad. I only know that I gave him consent, and I was aware,” I said.

My father looked at me with an intense expression, and before I knew it, a big slap had my face whipped to the side.

“You are a disgrace to me! This is the height of it. Of all people, you got knocked up by my enemy's son?! No way. I'm not going to let that happen. He used you!” He yelled.

“Ambrose, please, calm down,” my mother said, trying to pacify him, but his wrath was more than words could calm.

“Don't tell me that, woman! Look at your daughter! She's shameless, and she has disgraced our family! She has no right to be here!” He bawled. He clenched his fists, and his eyes flickered amber, his wolf's eye color, and he must have been trying not to shift.

“Did you really do that, Aurora?” Alessandro asked. I could read the pain and disappointment in his face.

“No need to explain yourself. I don't care if this is true or not. All that I know is you can't keep that nonsense here. Since you have decided to be a disgrace to this family, you should go and live your life the way you want it,” he said.

 What did he mean?

“What are you saying, Ambrose?” My mother asked him.

“Aurora, you are banished from the Pack. I, Alpha Ambrose Graywood, hereby banish you from the pack. From today, you are no longer a member and are prone to the dangers of the outside world. Go and live your life somewhere else. It is final!” He proclaimed.

“Dad, no. Please. I don't have anywhere to go. Dad, please don't…”

He stormed out of the room before I could beg him. It was definitely over for me. Our city was very dangerous, and I could be harmed.

What about the talks? What would people say? How would I raise my child?

Alessandro, in disappointment, turned around and left the room. Riley, who was weeping bitterly, and couldn't say a word, was watching on, sobbing, and same for my mother. I had failed them, and myself.

****

Nothing. I had absolutely nothing, and I was banished from the pack. My father didn't even think twice about it, and my mother's plea was in vain. Alessandro had left our pack house to his father's pack, and I guess he would have told them. I walked through the dark and cold night, having nothing but my luggage bag that I was dragging with me. I didn't even greet my mother and my sister goodbye, because my father ordered for me to be taken away by the pack guards. I only had to stay until evening, and then, when I didn't expect it, I was thrown out.

Having left the pack, I walked far past the borders, and I was near the woods. Tears rolled down my eyes as I walked with weak feet, and I wondered what would be of me. My feet were weak, and I felt as if I was paralyzed all over.

Suddenly, fear enveloped me. My wolf, Anya, was feeling disturbed, as I heard the rustling of leaves becoming louder with each passing second. I halted in my tracks as I heard the sound, and it stopped. My heart was beginning to beat faster and I knew that something was not right.

 I was in danger.

I took to my heels, running as fast as I could, and I heard loud howls coming from behind me. Some wolves were about to attack me. I was certain they were rogues, and they wanted to kill me. Who wouldn't want to kill the daughter of a very powerful Alpha? It was like they had some vendetta against our pack.

I ran for several minutes, but the woods were too hard to see through. I felt exhausted. They were right behind me, and I wanted to allow my wolf to come forward. That was the only way I had to survive this.

My heart was beating fast, my whole body trembling, as I was still running, this time, slower than I was when they started pursuing me.

Turning around, I could see that the enemies were not far behind.

Rogues were always ready for the attack. They had a special territory far from the borders of our pack, that sat at the heart of the City, so that they could monitor other packs, and there they hid. Anyone who was cast out from a pack or was a loner would be a rogue. I didn't want to be one.

That wasn't my destiny. I would rather die than turn into a monstrous wolf who killed and hunted for prey who did nothing to me.

I ran deeper into the woods for some minutes before my pace slowed down. I knew I couldn't go any longer. I didn't have a bite of food in the morning, and I didn't eat anything last night either.

Onto a dead end. My wolf howled from within alerting me to stop. There was a cliff. I didn't know how deep it was, but I dared not jump. I turned around to see the evil bright-red eyes of the rogues. They were waiting to fist on us and were howling and growling loudly.

 Goddess, please help me.

One began approaching me, its breath so heavy, and I began moving backward. The others rushed and they formed a circle around me. I didn't know what to do at that point, and I knew it was over for me. I brought disgrace to my family, and as a result, I was paying for it with my life.

Loud howls were what I heard as they attacked me, and then ripping of flesh, as I felt the most excruciating pain, before I fell into the abyss of unconsciousness.
