Chapter 11

Sebastian stood up and filled a disposable cup with water. Holding it, he found himself, a man who had always had everything at his command, feeling strangely helpless for the first time.

If he tried to pour the water directly into Hannah’s mouth, he feared she’d choke before she could even quench her thirst.

With a dark look in his eyes, Sebastian walked over and tried to pull Hannah up from the bed. But her body was soft and limp, like a boneless octopus, swaying and nearly hitting her head on the nightstand.

Sebastian grew increasingly annoyed. He should have had Joe handle this.

Taking a deep breath, he sat on the edge of the bed and positioned Hannah against himself.

The unconscious woman, unaware of any danger, instinctively nestled into his chest, making herself comfortable, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Resting against his chest was much cozier than just leaning against his side.

A look of disdain flickered in Sebastian's eyes.

He pried Hannah's mouth open
