Chapter Sixty-Eight

AGNAR'S POV

I stood over her, watching as she died, but left when I couldn't take it anymore. Celine might have done so much evil, but she was my best friend. I began blaming myself for turning her into the monster that she had become.

Maybe if I had cared more about her she might have turned out better, but I was so consumed by my problems that I never looked her way for a second.

I walked out of the room in pain and almost in tears. There must be something wrong with me; I just end up either killing or kicking out every single person who ever loved me away.

I could feel my heart break in two when I shut the door; my eyes became wet, and I was pained by her death.

I sat on the floor with my back to the door, reminiscing about my past with Celine. The memories were so clear that they flooded my head like they were just yesterday.

I remembered meeting her at the pack school that year; she was still with her parents, and I was the hot Alpha's son whom everyone was gushing over.
