An old feud is challenged and forbidden feelings stir in the name of a woman lost in decades of slumber. * After treacherous attacks from the scarlet dragons, the golden dragons are almost eliminated from the face of the Earth, with only a few surviving and having to face decades of war against their persistent enemies. In the middle of the conflict, the golden clan finds a new hope in the form of Cleo, one more surviving member of their breed. Their hope morphed into desperation as they realise nothing they can do to take her from her current state of unconsciousness. Under the sun of her new home in Puerto Banus, Cleo’s future is unclear, as the only reality she knows is a long-lasting dream. * On the other side of the world, in Arctic Alaska, Henry is certain about his future. He is a werewolf who is supposed to take the Beta’s daughter as his chosen mate and succeed his father as the Alpha of the Boreal Blood Pack, one of the most ruthless packs on the continent. His Pack only knows power, how to crush their enemies, greed and tradition. However, there is something they and their Alpha hate more than weakness: they hate dragons with passion. Henry changes his ways when he hears a call to his soul, a call from his long-sleeping mate. He doesn’t know who she is or where she lives; he only knows he has to find her. He never expected his mate to be Cleo, a dragon. Finding himself at a crossroad, Henry must choose to leave his pack and destiny to help bring his dragon mate back from her coma, or will he follow his pack’s ways and deep-rooted hatred.

Synopsis

KemyGolden Dragons: the strongest amongst all the monumental reptilians that dared to gain the skies. We had an empire, and now we only have each other. Once upon a time, we were thousands, but now there are only seven of us. Our population was wiped out in a treacherous war. The Red Dragons lured and attacked us in our sleep, killing all of our elderly and young. This was the first battle, the one that we couldn’t fight, for it happened covered by the dark veil of night and the sneaky schemes of lies. We watched our people die, and some of us — like my sister Mallory and I — lost more than our families and friends. We lost our freedom. My sister and I were set apart and taken to laboratories, becoming our enemies’ prisoners. We would have died there if the Great Golden Dragon spirit, the original golden fire that created us and reunited the souls and the songs of all Golden Dragons, hadn’t found its way back to Earth. The spirit made its home in the soul of a young witch. Prologue

KemyI was in a field of daisies, the same place I’ve ever been since I can remember, ever since my life became this endless dream. Being alone with my Dragon, Ember, waiting for many eternities whilst trying to find words in the silence of my mind, seemed to be my destiny. . Or at least that was what it felt like on the days I didn’t see him. His presence brought me some comfort, making me feel less lost inside myself, making me feel more real. I’ve dreamt for so long that I started feeling myself like a dream as well. A smile formed on my lips as my gaze found the wolf’s silhouette appearing on the far horizon. Although he was only a shadow outlined by the sunlight, every time he seemed to be a little bit closer; maybe, one day, he could reach me. Perhaps if I could touch him, touch reality, I would wake up. Of course I wasn’t only waiting, planted here like a tree. I tried to run towards him, but it didn’t help at all; it was the same as trying to reach the sun or the stars. M

1. Stirring

Alma“I’m still learning about my powers; to listen to The Great Golden Fire and let it be one with me, be one with my soul, my consciousness, my dreams, and even my body. Now I can see that there is a thin thread of light, invisible when one has their eyes opened, connecting me to all the Golden Dragons. We can follow the light, follow the fire and see where it leads to, and find Kemy,” I explained to the rest of the Golden Dragons in our clan as soon as Egan and I came back to the clan’s mansion in Marbella. We interrupted our honeymoon after I dreamt about Kemy, after her Dragon communicated with me and let me know that she was alive but unwell. I looked at everyone’s surprised faces as it was indeed a great surprise, another miracle. Without wasting any time, Marion used her unique ability to transport us to a safe place in London, more specifically, the back of the Warlock Society building. They were our allies and quite powerful, so threats such as the Red Dragons and Meghan

2. Something is changing

Henry I exhaled sharply and looked at the starry sky and white night. An odd sensation was burbling in the back of my mind.I didn’t know why, but even late in the evening, I couldn’t stop thinking about that stirring sensation. Since we felt it, my wolf has been restless, and I have been feeling almost the same way, though it didn’t prevent me from sparing all day long. As the future Alpha, I had to be prepared for anything; our packs had many enemies among the other packs in North America and even other beings such as Warlocks and Dragons. I was trying to keep any distractions at bay and focus on myself and my future, but it wasn’t an easy task at that moment. The Gamma tried to kick my legs and make me fall, but I moved fast. My knees flexed as my feet jumped back, dodging his attack and stood firmly, one foot in front of the other, taking the fighting stance. “We have to be prepared, always,” Knight barked in my head. He was right. As my father and Alpha always said, the stron

3. The wolf, the mirage and the dream

Kemy My gaze found the wolf’s silhouette on the horizon, a majestic shadow within the golden sun. A smile formed on my lips as he took a few steps closer— would he finally come close enough? My heart skipped a beat as he kept walking. He was close enough for me to see more than a mere outline while the sun illuminated his snow-white fur; he was beautiful and huge. Maybe I could have a pet and feel less alone. I sighed happily. I heard Ember’s protest in the form of a roar. We were so close and entangled here alone in my dreams that I could understand her well, just as if she could use words and not only feelings and instinct to communicate. Besides that, our connection was so great that sometimes I could see her form in front of me and even caress her muzzle. Those were my happiest moments: that and when I saw the Wolf. She didn’t think he was a pet, not at all. I had to agree with her whilst my mouth hung open as the huge white wolf changed his form slowly, and a very naked man

4. Alphaed-up

Henry I fell asleep almost immediately. Only when my eyes closed, the light sank in. I looked around myself to find that I was in a meadow, walking in Knight's form. There was nothing there besides some flowers, but I could feel a presence, a call; an invisible force was drawing me here. “I often dream about this meadow,” Knight told me. “Really? I thought you only dreamed about your mate and chasing squirrels,” I taunted him.“You are the one dreaming about squirrels,” the nonsense Wolf teased me back. It was quite an odd dream. I wasn’t ever able to communicate with Knight in my dreams before. “It’s because this is my dream, and you are intruding in it. I can’t even have my own space anymore,” he barked at me even though I was in his mind. Suddenly, I felt the stir in my chest once again. It was strong, stronger and closer than the first time. The stirring sensation compelled me to shift to my form, and I couldn’t control or even help it. I stayed there in shock, looking at my

5. The White Knight

KemyMy eyes open in a wild surprise. That couldn’t be, I thought it was impossible. I felt Ember, I felt her communicate with the wolf within the man. “Ember, how could you reach him?” I asked in shock. Dragons could only communicate with their human counterpart and with other dragons when they both were in their reptilian form. I could feel her shuddering, she didn’t know how she could reach him either. She let me know that she sent him a mental image: the witch’s stones, known to humans as Stonehenge. It was one of our favourite places to play when I was young. I used to run around it, playing hide-and-seek with my sister, Mallory. Ember took her first flight there, or at least tried to since she ended up crashing her snout against one of the stones and falling on the ground, making Mallory fall on her back after laughing convulsively. My eyes watered at the sweet memories, those stones were near our home, before everything was destroyed and the Red Dragons captured us. When

6. A Deal with the unknown

HenryI headed to the border of the pack and took a plane to England without looking back. Father was wrong; I wouldn’t come back begging, I was an Alpha and I wouldn’t ever go down to my knees. If I was to go back to my pack, it would be to claim my birthright as their Alpha, with my fated Luna by my side. Knight barked in agreement in my mind. When I arrived in London, I knew things wouldn’t be easy and it would be hard to find her as unfortunately mate-bonds didn’t work like GPSs. “If only I knew her scent, I could track her to the end of the world,” Knight chimed in. “You are over-confident even for an Alpha! You are a good tracker, but your nose can’t cross oceans,” I replied, if I was to give too much credit to this wolf, he would become unbearable. How could I find her? I wondered looking at the grey skies of London. “Maybe we need some help from magic, get one witch or two,” my wolf suggested. “Good idea, Knight!”“I know; I am the brain, the claws and the muscles betwee

7.Lavender, amber and surprises

Mallory The very next day, I went to see my sister. I could run away from anyone and anything, my pain and fear—which were always coming back for me—but I couldn’t run away from Kemy. I had to bring her back, and save my little sister this time. Alessia roared with determination within my soul and I knew that we would put our own pain, our scarred heart aside to take care of Kemy, to give her our love and wake her up. “You will be back, Little Sister,” I muttered under my breath. I entered the room and took a seat by her bed, taking her hand in mine and squeezing it gently. My gaze roamed around Kemy’s pale but serene face. It seemed like she was indeed dreaming rather than having nightmares. I sighed in relief as she didn’t seem to be suffering. But she was dreaming for way too long, it was time to live, to come back to me and to this new family who welcomed us with open arms. Somehow, Daniel’s brief words had a much stronger effect on me that I could ever imagine, he restored

8. My She-wolf?

Henry “Niki, baby, get inside and ask Marion to teleport you all away. There is an insane mutt here!”He told the little witch as she looked between us, startled, pale, wide-eyed, I could hear her ragged breath. “You know that we won’t ever leave you, hot pants!” she replied after gulping hard. “He’s just one dog, I can put him down with ease.”While he was distracted talking to her, I ran through the door full-speed passing by the witch and making her lose balance and almost fall. My mate was all that mattered, and I knew she was in that room. When I entered the bedroom, my gaze fell immediately on her sleeping form. I didn’t need to look at her eyes to know she was mine; I was drawn to her, attracted by a magnetic, overwhelming force.“Mine!” Knight and I claimed in unison, our voice deep, guttural, coming from a primal place within my soul. I passed by a startled blond she-dragon and scooped my mate in my arms, sniffing her beautiful locks of light brown hair and breathing her
