Chapter Fourty-two

HAYDEN'S POV

I lost it, with my mate in my hand, shot and unconscious. My heart was aching so badly, and I roared. I was clutching onto her lifeless body and calling her nonstop to answer, but then I heard something answer from within her. I seized, crying immediately, and that was when I heard a very weak heartbeat within her.

I was confused at first, but then it finally dawned on me that the heartbeat I heard earlier belonged to my child.

"My pup," I whispered, holding her to my heart while crying bitterly. I roared again, and before I knew it, my Lycan took control, and I slew every fucking one of them.
