Chapter Forty-Five

It's been one week since I woke up from my coma. He said I had been out for over a week. I find it hard to believe that, but what can I say?

I turned to the side of my bed, only to see that it was just midnight. I sighed, frustrated as fuck. I have no idea why the fuck I can't stop stirring at the ceiling at midnight. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I slept for over a week straight.

Or maybe it's the dingy bed. I turned to the other side to see Hayden sleeping next to me.

I got off the bed and made my way out of the room; most of the lights were off, but I went over to the kitchen and took out some chocolate bars from the fridge. Then I settled down to take a bite.

I popped it open and then took a bite. I slowly ran my fingers over my tummy. I have been blaming everything for my inability to sleep except the real culprit.

I have been having nightmares ever since I woke up. Sometimes I find myself drowning and screaming for help; the other time, I just keep seeing
