Chapter Forty-Eight 

HAYDEN POV

I was delighted to see the wolf assassins at the party; even when I was pissed, they tried kicking Kay in the tummy, but it was like the high powers were working in my favor.

When I had killed every last one of them, leaving the wounded one free, I knew she would go running back for help. I was intentional about it while inflicting those wounds on her.

I wanted to make it more serious than she could handle by herself, but not too serious, so that she could go get help.

"Ben, follow my scent," I said to my guard while I trailed closely behind her without being noticed.

I can't make her tell me where it is; these brainwashed women would rather die than give up that information. That is when I figured, If you can't get it out of them, I just have to make them take me there.

She occasionally stops; then grabs the broken leg, wincing in pain, before she continues limping again. After walking for a few seconds, I sighted a black bike ahead of us.
