Three

Elsa could feel the gears turning in June's head.

"What do you mean? You told everyone that you were retiring to focus on your marriage and family. Wasn't that true? Didn't Gabriel ask you to retire?" she fired questions at June.

"You are right, Gabriel did tell me to retire but I didn't do it for him like I told everyone."

"Then why did you retire?"

"Because i wanted something new. Acting and the entertainment world was all I had known for all my life. I was becoming tired of it all. So when Gabriel proposed and asked me to retire, I jumped at the opportunity. I thought marriage would be my new thing but I was wrong." Elsa explained everything to her.

"It's okay, I understand everything. I won't say anything about you going back to work anymore. You can just stay with me for the rest of your life and I will take care of you." she suddenly put on a fake solemn expression.

Elsa couldn't help herself, she burst into laughter.

"June, I am not asking you to do that, I will think of something soon, I promise."

She sighed, "Oh Elsa, I don't want you to think I was asking you to go back to acting because I needed money from you. I really meant what i said, you have done a lot for me. The extremely large pay off you gave me was enough to start the company. All the connections I made through you is what has kept the company afloat, what is mine is yours, you know that." she continued.

Elsa held June's hand and shook her head."No June, you worked hard for everything you have today, I won't let you discredit yourself like that. Plus you were the best manager, you deserve everything."

June smiled at Elsa and squeezed her hands.

Everything Elsa had said was true, she had chosen June to be her manager when she was fifteen and June was twenty five.

Her mother had been against it, but she was adamant. Elsa's mother who had been acting as my manager since her dad died had been squandering her money and mismanaging her deals.

June had become her manager and since then she had never made Elsa regret her decision. Despite there being a ten years gap, she had never been bossy to Elsa. She was playful but firm when it was needed.

"We have been through a lot, haven't we?" June asked her.

"Yes, we have. And right now when I need you the most, you are still here for me. I am really grateful June."

"Then let me do one thing for you." June requested.

"What is it?" Elsa asked.

"Let me announce the divorce as your manager."

"Is there any need for that?" Elsa asked, she didn't really need any drama that came with the whole issue.

"Do you trust me Elsa?" June asked.

"You know I do"

"Gabriel cheated on you with Stella, both are in the entertainment business and know the importance of reputation. I assume they would both come out as couple after a while. The backlash would be horrible for their careers. They would use you as a scape goat. If we announce it first, it takes the power to spin it out of their hands."

Elsa thought about what she had said, she was right. Elsa didn't know if she would go back to the entertainment world but regardless she didn't want her reputation to suffer because of Gabriel and Stella selfishness.

"if you release it, what will you say?" Elsa wanted to know.

"That you two divorced due to irreconcilable differences but it was a mutual decision and you need time and privacy as you go through this."

Elsa nodded, that was a good way to announce it.

"So should I do it?" June asked.

"yes, go ahead." Elsa approved it.

June took the divorce papers and scanned it to her phone. She then proceeded to use her official account to post it since Elsa had deactivated her social media when she got married.

"done" she announced as she gave the phone to Elsa.

Elsa looked at the announcement, June had posted exactly what she had said she would post.

"I doubt anyone would pay much attention to it, I am no longer known. Even your secretary had no idea who I was." Elsa said with a shrug as she handed the phone back to June.

June laughed, "she was thirteen when you retired. I doubt she would have recognized you, but you are not as forgotten as you think."

"well if you say so, I am hungry, what do you have?" Elsa asked with a yawn.

"Pizza."

Elsa groaned, "seriously June, you are still maintaining your unhealthy eating habits." she scolded.

"Do you want the pizza or not?"

"Fine I will manage it." Elsa said with fake reluctance.

"So pizza and a night of old rom com movies. How does that sound?"

"perfect." Elsa said with a bright smile.

They soon settled down with to eat and watch the movie, not knowing the chaos the divorce announcement was causing.

Fans were surprised and shocked at the news.

When Elsa the screen goddess and the queen of the Lockwood entertainment agency had announced her retirement some years ago, everyone had been shocked.

And now that her divorce had suddenly been announced, by her former manager who ran her own entertainment agency now, fans began speculating what it meant.

Some who thought Gabriel had forced her to retire, rejoiced because they thought the divorce meant she would be making a comeback.

While others wondered what had caused the divorce all of a sudden.

Gabriel on the other hand was flabbergasted. He was still in shock over what had just happened with Elsa and suddenly his phone was bombarded with calls from his parents, Stella, business partners all wanting to know what was going on.

He called Stella repeatedly yet her number was switched off.

While all these was going on, someone else was also in shock. He was Asher.
