"That bastard... How dare he?" June cursed.

"What do I do June? If Gabriel divorces me, I have nothing."

"Elsa,why would you invest all your savings in the company?" June scolded her.

"The company was struggling and I thought since we were married and in love, there was nothing wrong with helping him out"

"And then the bastard had the audacity to cheat on you with that shameless sister of yours. I knew she was always up to no good."

"June, I have nothing to my name, my career is dead. I have no money, my mom will obviously take my sister's side, she has done that all my life. I don't know what to do."

June held Elsa's chin up to look at her.

"You have me Elsa, don't you ever forget that, you have always had me. And we will get through this together"

"I am sorry I lashed out at you at the wedding." Elsa apologized.

She patted Elsa's cheek affectionately.

"It's okay, I understand. You were in love and I could have also told you how I felt in a calm manner too. Let's start over, okay?"

Elsa looked at her hopefully, "are you really going to help me?" she asked her.

"Yes, I am. Now, what do you want me to do?"

"I need a place to stay."

"is that all?" she asked in surprise.

Elsa understood her surprise, June probably thought she wanted revenge. But Elsa was tired, she just wanted a fresh start in life and nothing to do with either Gabriel or Stella.

"Going to court with Gabriel would be pointless, there is no document signed which proves I invested in his company, I don't even have the money for a lawyer. I don't want to fight, I just need a place to stay while I figure out what to do."

"Then that isn't a problem at all, you can stay with me. Do you need anything else?"

"a car to pack my things."

"done, my driver will take you home, call me if you need me there to confront that bastard."

"I will"

She hugged Elsa again, "oh my love, I will be here for you always."

"Thanks June."

She left June's office with a resolve, she was done with Gabriel and Stella. They both deserved each other.

She went home, Gabriel wasn't back yet, she packed her things out of the house and put them in the car, June had sent.

And then she sat down in the living room and waited for Gabriel.

He came in, some minutes after midnight, it was obvious all the times, he had been late and she had waited for him, he had been with Stella. She had been a very big fool.

"welcome home." she told him.

"Oh, you are still up"

"yes, I was waiting for you."

"You shouldn't have, I had a business meeting with and I had dinner with them."

"i wasn't waiting for dinner."

His eyebrows scrunched up in confusion.

"Then, why were you waiting?"

"I wanted to give you this." she stretched out the papers in her hand to him.

"and what is this?" he asked as he took the paper.

I watched realization dawn on his face as he saw the divorce papers.

"Elsa, what is this?"

"Those are the divorce papers filed by you and signed by you, Gabriel. If you wanted to divorce me so badly, you should have asked."

"I ...I...I" he stuttered. A feeling of victory ran through Elsa at how dumbstruck he looked.

"How did you find this, did you rifle through my things?"

Elsa stood up, "I was just helping you clean the study, or is a wife not supposed to help her husband clean up anymore?"

"So you already signed the papers, you are going to divorce me just like that?" he asked in disbelief.

"Yes, you signed the papers first, we would be lying if we said this marriage was working, since you want a divorce, I gave you one. It's that simple"

"I won't be giving you any money in court, if thats what you are planning on" he said angrily.

Elsa laughed, Gabriel was truly pathetic.

"I don't want anything from you Gabriel."

She took a copy of the divorce papers and headed towards the door.

"and where are you going?" he asked.

"none of your business, have a nice life Gabriel"

"The car is mine, remember that."

"Your car keys are on the table."

Elsa left the house and headed to the car and June's driver drove me away from the place she had called home for the past six years.

June was waiting in front with a hug.

Elsa fell into the hug and felt herself relax. She didn't know what she would do with her life now. But at least she was free of Gabriel.

"So tell me everything, how did the confrontation go?" June asked after she had settled in.

She narrated everything that had happened and June cursed.

"That bastard, he is so shameless, are you sure you don't want revenge?"

"June, he is the CEO of one of the biggest entertainment agency and you are still starting up your agency. I don't want you doing anything that would derail your career. Just leave him alone" Elsa pleaded with her.

"Fine, I will." she agreed grudgingly.

"Thank you, what you have done is already more than enough for me. I half expected you to throw me out of your office."

"Elsa, you know I would never do that, I might have been angry at you earlier but that anger has cooled down to concern for you all these years."

Elsa squeezed her hands, "thank you June"

"So when do you plan your comeback to the entertainment world? I know Ricky wouldn't hesitate to put you on a project. I have a lot of connections and strings we can utilize." she asked excitedly.

Elsa sighed, "June, I am not planning a comeback to the entertainment world."

"what,why? You left acting because Gabriel wanted a housewife, you have divorced him, what is holding you back?"

"June, I didn't leave the entertainment world because of Gabriel" Elsa told her.
