One Hundred and Nine

Shannon’s POV

I finally got my mother to tone down on her anger just for the night before she ruined everything and in as much as I hated that I was being forced to attend the party out of my own will, I didn’t want to ruin Alpha Robin’s hardwork and everyone else that was going to make an attempt to be here tonight.

“Have you picked out a dress already?” My mother asked me as she styled my hair.

Despite my complaints about not wanting to do extra, she paid no attention to me as she forced me to sit in front of my mirror with my mouth shut.

“I didn’t pick any dress, mum.” I sighed, shaking my head slightly. “Up until tonight, I hadn’t even decided on attending the party.”

“Are you being serious, right now?” My mother stared at my reflection in the mirror. “There’s a party going on downstairs and you want to remain up here in the comfort of your own bed?”

“It sounds better than going down there and being the focus of everyone’s attention, don’t you think so?” I asked.
