Chapter One hundred and Eleven

Shannon’s POV

I didn’t know if I should count myself fortunate to have stumbled across Hugh who had helped me realize that everything had a path that ought to be followed.

I wasn’t going to stay here any longer than I ought to but saying my goodbyes would make me leave without any regrets and that was what I wanted.

I know Alpha Robin and my mother wanted to make this work and despite my initial refusal, I had given in to his Alpha Robin’s idea as well but his sons could never fall in line with what their father wanted.

I made my way back into the gardens and the music was still as loud as ever. The grounds were quiet and there was no one outside save for a few faces.

“Do you know where your mother might be?” Hugh asked as he stood next to me.

“The last time I saw her, she was with Alpha Robin but I’m guessing she’ll be in the common room,” I replied.
