Ricky’s POV

“I asked you all a fuckking question and I need an answer immediately!” My father roared as he hurled a table into the wall above our heads.

“Father, I swear on my life, I have no idea what happened to your wife.” I began, hoping he would see reason with us.

“You expect me to believe that bullshit story, Ricky?” My father chuckled as he shook his head at me.

“Father, I—“

I started but he cut me short.

“Do you consider me to be stupid, Ricky?” My father yelled, his eyes blazing with fury. “I’ll give you and your brother half an hour to come up with an explanation and if you don’t, you’ll regret knowing me as your father, I can promise you that.”

I turned towards my brothers who were too frightened to speak and I couldn’t blame them. We had never seen our father this incensed before and we couldn’t fault his ire.
