Chapter One Hundred And Fourteen

Shannon’s POV

I jolted up from my bed as a sharp pain pierced my heart, making me whimper.

It was my wolf. I could feel her howling in pain as well, hers much greater than mine. I knew what was wrong, there was only one thing that would make her be in so much anguish. Her pain reflected on my human body but I couldn’t scream so I wouldn’t attract attention as I already had enough on my plate to deal with at the moment.

I could tell that they were with someone else and I couldn’t do anything about it but feel my heart shred into pieces. Despite breaking the mate bond, it was still going to take some time to become permanent and the days before then were often the worst.

Why is he doing this to us? We didn’t choose to be this way nor have we wronged him in any way. Make him stop.

My wolf cried as I forced myself to stand up from the bed and made my way towards the door.
