Chapter: I will always love you Epilogue Readers' POV "Uggh!" William groaned as he arched his back. He loosened his grip on Kendrick and staggered backwards. Kendrick coughed and sat up tiredly. He finally noticed that an arrow had pierced the back of William's head. There was not healing or coming back from that! Kendrick sighed in relief and looked around for the person who shot it. From the balcony on the second floor, he saw Jenni standing there with her bow drawn. She seemed to be shocked by what she had just done as she stared wide eyes at her bow. Jenni came back! That was shocking, after she suddenly left him because he went back to Audrey. Kendrick diverted his gaze back to William, who had now collapsed on the floor. He seemed to stare longingly in a particular direction as the light faded from his eyes and he went on a journey to the underworld. He looked in the direction William was looking and saw that he was staring at Audrey! Annoying prick! He just didn't want to let her

Chapter: Williams, oh Williams. Readers' POV After they both marked each other, they shared a really nice kiss and after so many hours of talking, imagining their futures together, they finally slept. The next morning, Audrey jolted from the bed and she opened her eyes instantly. She looked around and she saw Kendrick sleeping peacefully, with his hand lying lazily on her waist. She had thought that her mating with Kendrick was a really good dream that she badly wanted to come to pass. She touched her neck and she could still feel the heat from last night. She pushed her head into the pillow and smiled. It wasn't a dream at all. It really happened. She turned her head to face Kendrick. She didn't want to wake him up, but she couldn't help touching his face, nose, hair and literally everything her hand could touch at that moment. She was touching his hair, when her eyes went to his lips and she started using her index finger to trace the little line around his lips. She was really enjoying what sh

Chapter: I belong to you now Kendrick's POV "Find him!" My voice boomed across the kitchen and Audrey flinched as well as the rest of the sentries who scampered out after my outburst. "Hey," I said softly, reaching for Audrey, but she flinched again, breathing hard and fast, staring at the direction in which Williams had gone, eyes wide with fear and despair. "Ar--" A whimper escaped her and I hated that I could smell her fear. I hated that she trembled so much. It hadn't been long since I had made her go through the same fear. I had made those tears drop from her eyes, broken her spirit, broken her heart, and...seeing her now, with the same fear in her eyes…I hated myself for everything I had done to her. "Audrey," I said, barely able to hear my voice over my raging heart. Audrey didn't either as her sobs began in full earnest. It was like I didn't exist. She couldn't see me. Or hear me. She was scared out of her mind. "Audrey!" I roared, unable to keep my wolf at bay. Her gaze snappe

Chapter: Williams is here Audrey's pov Inside my room, we lay cuddled against each other, as we slept soundly. Time ticked by slowly. I soon untangled myself from Kendrick and turned to the other side of the bed while sleeping. I began to fidget little by little. My face soon morphed into a frown. I began shaking my head subtly from left to right. My body tensed and I instantly shot up. I was panting like I had just run a marathon. My eyes were dazed and unfocused as I seemed not to see everything around me. Kendrick also woke up after he heard my panting. When he looked towards me and saw my disheveled state, panic and worry settled in him. He crawled out from under the covers briskly as he came to stop before me. He saw that I was totally unfocused so he cradled my face and made me look into his eyes. He already had a vague idea of what happened. "Baby! Look at me! You are all right! I'm here! I'll always be here. He cannot hurt you!" He comforted as he rubbed my face soothingly.

Chapter: I love you Audrey's povDays later... When I saw Kendrick looking like he was half dead in Eric's hands, my heart skipped so many beats and I ran towards him. At the moment, I was just thinking one thing; Kendrick. My eyes were so focused on him. When I was just a few steps away from him, Eric stretched his hand forward, to stop me from moving any closer to Kendrick. When he did that, I looked up at him with confusion written all over my face. I didn't know why Eric stopped me from hugging Kendrick when he clearly needed my hug more than ever. "I'm still the queen, don't forget that,"I I said, and ignored his stretched out hand. I tried moving closer to him, but this time, I continued pushing his hand. I backed away from Eric and Kendrick and I left the way for him to bring Kendrick in. I walked past him and I went to the bed without answering Eric. When I got to the bed, I grabbed his hands and I placed soft kisses on both of them. I dropped the left one and I raised

Chapter: Williams wants Audrey Kendrick's POV After checking her, the doctor confirmed that she was okay, and slowly woke her up. When the doctor left, I tried convincing Audrey to sleep, but she continued refusing as I continued asking. She looked really tired and I knew that she was going to pass out if she didn't sleep in the next few seconds, so I didn't give up. I still continued telling her to sleep, but she wasn't having it at all. It got to a stage and I started begging her to sleep. "Please, just sleep. For me? You can do that for me, can't you?" I tried making puppy dog eyes, but it didn't work. It only made her laugh loudly at how ridiculous I looked. She hit my shoulder playfully and she told me that she was fully awake, even when her eyes were closing every second. "Of course, I can do that for you." I looked into her eyes and asked her, "what's the problem, then? I knew I was never important to you." I removed her hand from my hand and slightly pushed her away in a playful mann

Chapter: Eighty-TwoADRIEN The only way out!I felt a knot in my stomach as the cops carefully searched through our things. I could practically feel the tension in the air, like this whole encounter was a ticking time bomb just waiting to go off. After what felt like hours—although it was likely just a few minutes—the officers stepped back into the living room, empty-handed but not defeated. “We know you two have your hands dirty,” the lead officer said, fixing us both with a steely gaze. “You’re not as smart as you think you are. We will be keeping our eyes on you.”Aries scoffed. “You can’t prove anything against us. You’ve got nothing. We’re innocent. You found nothing on us, remember.”“You can play that game all you want,” the officer replied coldly. “But mark my words, we won’t be far behind you.”“Hope you keep up with the pace of the game,” Aries smiled.“We shall see about that,” he replied. With that, they turned and left, the door clicking shut behind them. The moment we were al

Chapter: Eighty-One ADRIEN A City on FireThe tension in the city was thick enough to cut with a knife. I could feel it in the air every time I stepped outside. The streets that had once buzzed with life were now filled with an ominous silence, interrupted only by the distant sounds of sirens and gunfire. Each day brought new reports of gang wars escalating, innocent lives caught in the crossfire. My heart sank further with each headline I read or news bulletin I heard. This was no longer a city; it had become a battleground.Sitting in our living room that afternoon, I glanced over at Aries, who was scrolling through a news article on his phone. His face was set in a frown, evidence of the weight pressing down on his shoulders. Both of us had seen what this life did to the people of this city, yet here we were, playing our part in it. “Look at this, Adrien,” Aries said, his voice gruff. “Another shooting last night. A seven year old girl. Just like that, her li

Chapter: EightyROCHELLEI broke the ice!The rhythmic sound of my heart thumped loudly in my ears as I lay in bed. I couldn’t shake the burning memory of dinner with Prince Herold from last night. The disdain he had for women echoed in my mind like a haunting song. How could someone so powerful be so disgustingly ignorant?Just as I settled deeper into my thoughts, a heavy bang jolted me awake.“Open the fucki

Chapter: Seventy-Nine ROCHELLE Racist! As Dos Santos led me back toward the car, I couldn’t shake the feeling of disappointment. I had finally seen them again, and now I had to leave? Why was everything so complicated? The ride back to the mansion felt like a blur. I sat in silence, mulling over the events of the day. Deep down, I wished things were different, that I could just walk up to Aries and Adrien and tell them I was alive, that I was okay. Once we returned home, the maids were already waiting for me, dressed in their crisp uniforms, ready to prepare me for dinner. I had little choice in the matter; I could feel their urgency as they moved me to a lavish room filled with expensive beauty products.“Please, who is this boss?” I asked one of the maids while they applied makeup, but she remained silent as always, only smiling at me. It frustrated me to hell, honestly.“Is he important? What does he look like?” I couldn’t help but press. Again, I was met with silence and mo

Chapter: Seventy-EightROCHELLEI saw them… Aries and Adrien!I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside the large window of my room. The sun streamed in, painting the walls golden. For a moment, I forgot where I was. My memories raced back, grabbing hold of me like a vise. I was no longer in my own home, but rather a mansion I didn’t recognize, hidden away in Tijuana, Mexico.Every morning was the same. I would stretch, taking in the lavish surroundings that felt eerily like a dream. I looked around a

Chapter: Seventy-SevenADRIEN More questions than answers! We moved from clinic to clinic, asking questions, scanning records, but still no sign of Rochelle. Frustration began sinking in, gnawing at the edges of our hopes. At one hospital, we were met with the same disheartening response—they had no record of her. I could feel the spark of hope dimming, giving way to doubt. “What if the sheriff was right?” I asked Aries, dread pooling in my stomach. “What if she really is gone? What if it was another person's autopsy result that was mistaken for Rochelle's?”A lot of what ifs.“No!” he snapped, determination coursing through him. “I refuse to believe that. Rochelle is strong. She wouldn’t just disappear into thin air without leaving us a clue as to what happened. Come on, don't tell me you've given up”“I don't know what to say,” I admitted.“Then let's talk less and act more,” he said. “We have a long way to go before we can call it quits,” he added. There was nothing to admire about his faith… bli

Chapter: Epilogue Shannon’s POVIt was midnight already. The maids had returned to my room two hours earlier to help me get ready for my wedding to the Mayert triplets alongside my seamstresses and a couple of other servants. They had forbidden me from lifting a finger to help myself so I had resorted to staying put unless I wanted to risk the ire of the women helping me dress up and I wouldn’t even dare to do that. At the stroke of midnight, I was standing at the entrance of the hall already adorned with palatial decorations with cascading floral arrangements hanging from every side of the grand room, sparkling white chandeliers hung high above with delicate draperies completing the settings designed to evoke an atmosphere filled with love and warmth.A group of violinists was positioned at a corner, setting the tone for the exchanging of vows that were about to take place. We were five years late, but this was the perfect time for it to happen. It was better late than never and there was no bette

Chapter: Chapter One Hundred And Sixty-FourShannon’s POVI couldn’t believe that this was how my life was going to end up. A few hours ago, I thought that I would eventually have everything that I had always wanted out of life but Joshua handed me a reality check. I hadn’t seen Eve since I sent her to deliver the letter to the Mayery triplets so I had no way of knowing if she succeeded or if she had been killed before she even got there. I had no idea if my son was dead and Joshua was merely forcing me to do this to keep me by his side. I was completely hopeless and powerless in this. I stood in front of the officiating chief with Joshua standing opposite me, he had a huge satisfying smile on his face and I wanted nothing more than to wipe it off his smug face. “You need to say your vows, Shannon,” Joshua said, his smile never leaving his face. As I opened my mouth to speak, a familiar scent wafted through my nose and I felt joy wash over me. If they were here, it meant that they had gotten the letter and had rescued our s

Chapter: Chapter One Hundred And Sixty-ThreeRicky’s POVI couldn’t believe what I was holding in my hands. Had he been lying to me all along? No, no. I couldn’t believe it. There had to be some sort of explanation for what was going on currently and that meant I had to speak with her immediately. There had been a mixup somewhere during the night and I had to get to the root of it all. “She played us all, Ricky,” Jules said. “Jules might be right this time around, Ricky. We thought we had her back and we were ready to show her that the past will never happen again, what did we do wrong?” Cole asked. “I don’t think this is real. I don’t mean the letter — I mean the whole scenario. Just yesterday, she told us about our son and she was willing and eager to get into a relationship with us and this morning, she’s getting married to Joshua. C’mon, boys. I need you both to think critically about this before you conclude.” I said. “You think she’s being blackmailed or worse?” Jules asked. “That’s my best guess but we need to see h

Chapter: Chapter One Hundred And Sixty-TwoShannon’s POVI nodded. “So this culprit behind what I’ve been experiencing, is the same person who forged this letter and brought Melissa here?” “Yes, it’s the same person,” Ricky said. “Tell me who this person is and I’m going to have them dealt with,” I said, already getting furious. “Joshua,” Ricky said. “He’s being the flashbacks you’ve been having and after following him for the past couple of days, we’ve also figured out that he wrote the letter and he has spies in your household, in my pack, and Melissa’s camp as well. That was how he was able to set up all of these with ease.” I paused. Joshua and I hadn’t been seeing eye to eye on several things for the past few weeks after I turned down his proposal but would he ever go to this length to punish me for rejecting him?“Are you sure about what you’ve just said, Ricky?” I asked. “I swear on my life, Shannon. Joshua is behind all of these. He doesn’t want to see you with anyone other than himself and he’s willing to do anyt

Chapter: Chapter One Hundred And Sixty-OneShannon’s POVI couldn’t categorically tell what was happening but I knew that a lot of things were changing. I had been plagued by things from the past, things that served as a reminder of how hurtful my past had been, and no matter how I tried to stop them from happening, I couldn’t do anything about it.Before the past couple of days, things with the Mayert triplets had been smoother than they had ever been for the past five years but the flashbacks and reminders that I had been getting were forcing me to remember how they used to treat me all those years ago. I didn’t know what to do or how to stop it so I decided to stay away from them to regain my sanity. Maybe then, I would have an idea about what the fuck was going on because as it stands, I didn’t know what to make of the entire situation. “Are you sure about doing this, Ms. Shannon?” My maid asked as she brushed my hair. I had instructed her that I didn’t want to take any calls from the Mayert triplets and I didn’t want t

Chapter: Chapter One Hundred And SixtyShannon’s POV“What do you think you’re doing?” Joshua asked as he walked into my tent. He was visibly pissed and I could understand his anger. I had pulled him out of whatever he was doing and brought him here under the guise that we were going to war and now, I was pulling out before we even had a chance to fight. “I don’t think I have the stomach for this conversation anymore, Joshua. I understand that you’re pissed but this isn’t what I need right now.” I said. “If you’re thinking of shutting me out like you always do, it’s not going to work today, Shannon. I need answers and I need you to give them to me.” Joshua said defiantly. He wasn’t going to budge and we might just as well get over with this as soon as we possibly can. “So tell me what you want to know and I’ll answer your questions,” I said, gesturing to the empty couch in front of me. “Everything, Shannon. I want to know everything.” Joshua said as he sat down. “Everything? I don’t know where to start and—“ “You l
