Chapter Ten

At six on the dot, Rome drove into the parking lot of DreamTeam, and when he stopped the car engine, there was a gentle tap on the windshield.

Gazing at the window, Rome smiled and unlocked the car door. Then he waited for Catherine to get in the front seat before asking, "How long have you been waiting out here?"

"Just a couple of minutes after telling my driver to go home and that you would be picking me up," Catherine said, wearing her seatbelt.

Then she waited patiently for a couple of seconds for Rome to start the car, and when he didn't, she gazed at him.

In that instant, Rome looked into her eyes and said, "We need a safe word."

"What?" Catherine mumbled, trying to understand him.
