Chapter Eleven
Keeping silent, Catherine slightly clenched her fist as she stared at her uncles.
Then she gazed at her grandfather and asked, "What is the point of this dinner?"
"We think your uncles had gotten enough punishment these past months, and it's embarrassing that we have strangers working at the company, but not family." Mr. Barlow calmly uttered.
Without looking at Catherine, Madam Barlow sadly sighed and said, "People talk, and your uncles staying away from the company will look bad for our family reputation. I'm sure they have repented for their sins."
Pressing her lips together, Catherine frowned as she stared at her uncles and then gazed at her grandfather, realizing that they didn't want her consent but were afraid to enforce their will on her because of Rome.
"Do you want to know what my answer is?" Catherine coldly asked.
"Of course, and whatever it is, we will respect it," Elijah said with a half-smile.
