Chapter Nineteen

As Mr. Earl slowly woke up from his unconsciousness, Rome stepped over him and headed towards Amara.

'Where is he going?" Catherine thought, gazing at Rome.

Then when he reached Amara, she slightly pouted as she wondered, 'Who's that?"

 Gazing directly into her eyes, Rome frowned at Amara and coldly asked, "Who are you really?!"

"I see. You made someone do a background check on me," Amara said, trying to stay calm. "And what did you find out for you to ask me such a question?"

"Nothing. There's absolutely no information about you in any database or on the web. It's like you appeared out of thin air." 

"Hmm, if that's the case, then you did the right investigation."

  With a look of hesitation in Amara's expression, she raised her chin as she maintained eye contact with Rome and thought, 'I wonder what your reaction would be if I just come clean here and tell you the truth. Would you be accepting of me or do exactly
