Chapter Fifteen

At six o'clock on Saturday, Catherine was lying in bed when she heard the bedroom doorknob turn and, immediately, she looked to her right, and her gaze rested on Rome, stepping into the room.

"You are finally back," Catherine mumbled as she sat up.

After taking out his shirt and dropping it to the floor, he gazed at her and said, "I know that we are going to be slightly late, and I'm sorry that I stayed so long at the company. I lost track of time, an..."

"Honey," Catherine softly called out.

"Uhm!"

"Maybe we should get ready and pick up this conversation later."

"Right. I need to shower."

Biting on her nail, Catherine watched as Rome headed into the bathroom.

Then she got out of bed, walked into their enormous closet, and stopped at a white garment bag.

After unzipping it and taking out her dress, Catherine paused for a moment, admiring how absolutely breathtaking the gown looked.
