Chapter 3 Cora's POV Where... Where am I? I blinked as I opened my eyes slowly and looked around the unfamiliar room. My heart pounded in my chest as I tried to remember what happened and how I ended up here. Why am I here? I tried to sit up but the moment I moved, I felt a sharp pain through my side and I gasped. My whole body ached. Something wasn't right. Suddenly, the door creaked open and a woman stepped in. She wore a white coat and when her eyes landed on me, her expression turned to relief. "You're awake." She said gently, stepping closer. I nodded slowly. She stopped beside the bed and gave me a small smile. “Hello, dear. I’m Mira. I’m the pack nurse here.” I stared at her. Too stunned to speak. My throat was dry and I realized how thirsty I was. She seemed to notice and grabbed a bottle of water from the beside table. She opened it and passed it to me. Chapter 5 Cora's POV I stared at him in disbelief wondering why he was so interested in helping me. Wondering why he was offering to help me make Kieran suffer. "Do you know Kieran?" I asked the only question I could think of. He didn't answer. He didn't even blink instead he turned his face away like my question meant absolutely nothing to him. I felt my chest tighten. I shouldn't trust him. Not even for a second. He looked too much like Kieran. And now he was avoiding my question? No. I needed to leave. I pushed myself off the bed, wincing as pain stabbed through my side, but I stood anyway. He finally turned back to face me. "Where are you going?" "Away." I said. "Out of here. I appreciate what you did. For saving me. For letting me heal. But I need to go." I waited. Part of me thought he'd stop me. Part of me hoped he'd at least say something, anything, to convince me otherwise. But instead he walked to the door and opened it wide. "You can leave." he said coldly.

Chapter 7 Cora's POV. Four weeks later. I groaned as I woke up getting ready for another morning of training with Kaden. My body was still aching from yesterday's training, but since I wanted to survive, since I wanted revenge, I needed to get stronger. It had been four weeks since I started training with Kaden and somewhere along the way, the cold, serious warrior I first met had... changed. He still pushed me hard but he wasn't cold anymore. In fact, he'd become a little cocky, annoyingly flirty and more talkative than I ever expected. Sometimes he drove me insane, but I couldn't lie-it made training feel a little less like torture. And maybe... just maybe.. I didn't mind it. Kaden was standing in the center of the training ground waiting for me. He was looking way too relaxed as if he wasn't about to just throw me into another round of suffering. "All right, little omega," he said, clapping his hands. "Let's see if you've improved or if these past few weeks had been a waste.

Chapter 9 Cora's POV By the time evening was around, I was way exhausted. Selene was what we call a typical shopper. She took me to different stalls even though my legs were aching and I was crying. Selene did not listen, of course. Ronan and Kaden did not even help matters. When we reached the cabin, I wanted to relax, but that was when I heard that the pack was going to host a hunt. A tradition in the pack. it was like a test of the skills of warriors and the teamwork of the warriors. I decided to freshen up and we moved to the pack ground. When we reached, there were wolves around me. Some were looking at me like they hadn't seen me before. Yes, because I've been living in Kaden's cabin, but they didn't judge me. There was excitement in the air and the energy was... wow. I watched as different wolves shifted into their wolf form, and I swallowed hard.
