Chapter 61: Hoax

Hendrix tightened his grip on the phone as he listened to the caller intently. “She's infertile. She doesn't have the ability to produce offspring. Meaning, her pregnancy is just a hoax,” Giro continued. His blood was boiling as he thought how the Roswell's tried to trap her with her daughter by making everyone believe he was the father of her unborn child which turned out to be non-existent! ‘The audacity! And they were trying to taint his reputation for that?! They are gonna pay for it!’ he mentally screamed. “I've confirmed it with her doctor and she said it was impossible for her to get pregnant at all as she has weak and few egg cells,” Giro added, “We don't know what she was planning, but it's better to confront her about it to see what will she going to do next” Hendrix shut his eyes and sighed. He completely agreed with it. “She's been deported back to the Philippines. She'll most likely be there by tomorrow. Go to the airport later at night and wait for her arrival. I

Chapter 62: Confrontation

Hendrix went back to his mother's room with a dark expression. He couldn't believe what he just learned. Although it was not yet confirmed, he knew Giro wouldn't find it out if it's not true. “Are you going to sleep here?” Wilma asked him. He sat on the sofa and leaned his back on it. He closed his eyes, deliberately ignoring his mother as if he didn't see nor hear her. “Hendrix. Your mother is asking you,” David scolded. The two waited for his response but nothing came. He didn't even move on his spot like a statue, unmoving. “He must be tired. Let him be,” said Wilma before her husband shouted at their son. Hendrix heard them but still, he remained unresponsive as he was trying to calm himself before he confronted his mother. She's still his mother, hence, there's still some respect remaining in him towards her. “If you're just going to ignore us, just go back to your hotel. You're just stressing your mother more with your cold presence,” said David. “David! Stop speaking!”

Chapter 63: Princess

Hendrix squinted his eyes, trying to recognize the woman's face. “My name is Margaux..” He stiffened upon hearing that name. What are the odds that he'd meet someone who shares the same name as his wife? “I'm Princess Liana's secretary. She sent me here to invite you over late dinner,” she immediately added. “Princess Liana?” he frowned. He tried to search in his memory who it was until he remembered the woman with Margaux at the bar. He was surprised that she was looking for him but what shocked him the most was knowing just that moment that she was a fvcking princess. “She's.. a princess?” he asked in disbelief. Margaux grinned proudly, “She's one of the daughters of the current predecessors,” she chortled. He was rendered speechless. He didn't know how to respond to that, as it was the first time he met a person with a very high social standing. The woman extended her hands in a business-like way while giving him a calculated smile. “Nice to meet you, by the way..” she chir

Chapter 64: Manor

Hendrix didn't hesitate to go after seeing the address. He quickly hailed a cab and went there as soon as possible.Margaux, Liana's secretary, was already outside the gate, waiting for him when he reached the place. “You made the right choice,” she grinned, then gestured to the humongous gate in front of them. “She's already inside, shall we?” she stated. Hendrix took a deep breath and looked up at the familiar mansion. He only had been there once and it was too recent to forget about the details. Following the woman, they walked through the beautiful garden until they reached the enormous front door. “Good evening Miss, Sir,” the butler politely greeted. “Good evening!” The woman greeted back, rather enthusiastically. The butler chuckled which made Hendrix think the two knew each other.“You should go inside, miss. Your Majesty looked bored already,” said the butler. “Alright,” the woman chirped then. “You heard it. Let's go!” The two of them finally entered the manor. Meanw

Chapter 65: Owned

Hendrix felt like his head was going to explode. He wanted to run away but he couldn't. He felt tied up with how the woman was holding him. “Married men who don't wear their wedding rings only means they are hiding the fact that they are already off the market. They wanna have fun behind their wife's back. And us singles shouldn't be blamed because we didn't know they are already married,” Liana stated. “Men love challenges..” she chuckled. His brows furrowed as he thought the woman was sick in the head. How can she say those words in front of her family? Was she blatantly admitting that she's a mistress then putting all the blame to the poor men who cheated with her? Disgustingly, he took a step back and forcibly removed her hands off him. “I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in you,” he said coldly before walking out of the manor. He dragged his luggage with him and rushed outside. He didn't care if he was rude but the only thing he was thinking at the moment was to go further awa

Chapter 66: Visitor

Margaux shut her eyes as she leaned back on the swivel chair. Remnants from the dinner last night kept repeating in her head. She was bothered. After Dinah informed her about Liana's declaration, her heart became unsettled. She badly wanted to shake the princess and tell her she didn't own Hendrix. She started massaging her temples after letting out an exasperated sigh. Her head was aching from wondering why Liana fancied Hendrix. There were a lot of guys out there, Jack for example, but she really chose her man! She scoffed. When it comes to Hendrix, she's becoming really selfish. She wanted him only for herself, not to take him back but to make him suffer. Anyone who interferes should face a consequence. Straightening on her seat, she had finally decided to do something about the woman. Her title didn’t intimidate her as her family was equally powerful as hers. She would not let her be the reason for her plans to fail no matter what happens. She pressed the intercom and

Chapter 67: Play

“Why me?” Margaux looked at Liana incredulously. Shocked was understatement for what she felt at the moment and she suddenly thought if she looked like a spy or something that made the woman think of giving her the job. She didn't even have time to accept more jobs nor was she desperate to earn more money. “Where is your secretary?” Liana crossed her legs and leaned back on the sofa comfortably. “Margaux is very busy. She only has one body and I didn't want to overwork her. And since you knew Hendrix, I decided that you're the best option to do the job,” she answered so casually as if it was ot a big deal. For her, of course it was not a big deal. But how about her? Didn't she realize that she was already belittling her? What did she think she was? Her subordinates whom she can order around? She rolled her eyes. “I'm sorry but I won't do it,” she said politely. She saw how Liana's eyes sharpened. Her face immediately darkened and she knew the woman was already angry. “W

Chapter 68: Flowers

Margaux drove to the hospital and met with Doctor Pablo as she promised. The doctor was very pleased as she was his favorite student before when she entered med school.“Don't you want to continue your medical studies?” asked the old man. She quickly shook her head in response, “The only reason I entered med school was to have some basic knowledge about medicine. And I'm already content that I know how to do first aid. I don't think I will be a good doctor and it's not the field my heart desires,” she replied casually. The doctor sighed, “I understand. It's just a shame to not have someone like you in the medical field,” he lamented. Margaux chuckled, “You sound like I'm a genius, doc. But thank you for the compliment,” she chirped. “Anyways, I'm here not to chat with you about my plans. I'm here to confirm if Wilma really has kidney failure” “Oh, that. The patient hasn't gone through ultrasound. They decided to just take an MRI scan instead, that's why it was rescheduled later,”

Chapter 69: Priest

“Who the hell did send thee to me?! I'm not dead yet!” Wilma's voice thundered inside the room. She quickly got out of the bed and threw all the flower wreaths and stepped on each bouquet until all the petals were stripped and all the stands were ruined.“Why are they like this?! We haven't even confirmed if you're really sick!” David was as furious as his wife.“Ugh! Someone thought I'm already dead! Hurry and check the news! It must be one of the jobless reporters who makes fake news!David shook his head and quickly checked the news. But nothing about them was there which made his brows furrowed deeply. “Did you see something about me?” “There's nothing” Wilma looked at the messy room with all the ripped petals and leaves scattered in the floor with papers, wood and ribbons. “Could it be someone who has a beef with you?” Wilma stood frozen as she read those written on the ribbons. All the blood rushed up to her face and she growled like a hyena. “Someone wished for my death!

Chapter 70: Evil Woman

“What is going on?!” one of the nurses exclaimed. She looked at Margaux with a horrified expression before she ran back to her. “Miss Margaux, what are we going to do now?!” she asked with teary eyes. Meanwhile, Margaux was suppressing her laughter. She was excited she couldn't wait to see Wilma's reaction as soon as the priest entered the room. “Someone's really having a funeral here?” a question from a passerby. “No no no. No one died. There's no on-going funeral! It's just a misunderstanding!” another nurse explained in panic. She calmly watched as the commotion started again before her eyes. All the hospital staff on that floor were busy calling people and explaining to everyone. She was having fun watching them like an evil person enjoying the chaos she created. “Wait! Is this part of the celebration?” the nurse in front of her queried. She had high hopes in her eyes and she felt a little guilty to kill it. “No,” she shook her head. Those two letters were already enough to
