Chapter 67: Play

“Why me?” Margaux looked at Liana incredulously.

Shocked was understatement for what she felt at the moment and she suddenly thought if she looked like a spy or something that made the woman think of giving her the job. She didn't even have time to accept more jobs nor was she desperate to earn more money.

“Where is your secretary?”

Liana crossed her legs and leaned back on the sofa comfortably. “Margaux is very busy. She only has one body and I didn't want to overwork her. And since you knew Hendrix, I decided that you're the best option to do the job,” she answered so casually as if it was ot a big deal.

For her, of course it was not a big deal. But how about her? Didn't she realize that she was already belittling her? What did she think she was? Her subordinates whom she can order around?

She rolled her eyes.

“I'm sorry but I won't do it,” she said politely.
