Chapter 62: Confrontation

Hendrix went back to his mother's room with a dark expression. He couldn't believe what he just learned. Although it was not yet confirmed, he knew Giro wouldn't find it out if it's not true.

“Are you going to sleep here?” Wilma asked him.

He sat on the sofa and leaned his back on it. He closed his eyes, deliberately ignoring his mother as if he didn't see nor hear her.

“Hendrix. Your mother is asking you,” David scolded.

The two waited for his response but nothing came. He didn't even move on his spot like a statue, unmoving.

“He must be tired. Let him be,” said Wilma before her husband shouted at their son.

Hendrix heard them but still, he remained unresponsive as he was trying to calm himself before he confronted his mother. She's still his mother, hence, there's still some respect remaining in him towards her.

“If you're just going to ignore us, just go back to your hotel. You're just stressing your mother more with your cold presence,” said David.

“David! Stop speaking!”
