Kian's POV: My eyes were still sleep filled when I heard a buzzing sound go off somewhere around me. I hated alarms, they never give me the urge to wake, rather, they make me want to throw them away and continue sleeping. But as an Alpha, you need to be organized. And alarms are needed for that.I opened my eyes reluctantly, and glanced at the wall clock. It wasn’t yet time for the alarm to go off. So I searched around wondering where the sound was coming from. Lessia was right there on my chest, sleeping peacefully and I didn't want to wake her up. I moved her head off my chest and unto the pillow as gently as I could and rolled to the edge of the bed, only to discover that the sound was coming from my phone, on the floor. It must have fallen off my trouser earlier, I thought. The screen beamed brightly as I stretched to pick it up. I squinted hard as I looked at the screen attentively, trying to read the message I saw on the screen. The short message, written in capital letter read

Lessia's POV My eyes felt sore as I woke up to the setting sun shooting its orange light at my eyes through the window. I turned around to look at the clock and realized, for all the time I thought I had been asleep, it was only evening. I sighed and drowned myself just one more time in the pillow, before getting up to the usual day's schedule.I went directly to the kitchen because my throat felt dry. While in the middle of getting water, a maid approached me.Even though Kian had given me my personal maids, I still wasn’t used to the idea of it. There were times I felt startled whenever they approached me."Good evening, Lady Lessia," she started shyly."Alpha Kian gave me instructions to inform you to meet him at the garden once you're awake."“Kian asked you to tell me to meet him at the garden?” I repeated, just to be sure.“Yes, lady Lessia.” She replied smiling.“Couldn’t he have just asked me himself? Why did he need to bother you with it?”“Alpha said you were asleep and he

Lessia's POV: It was a really sneaky thing I did, curving my way out of the Pack house like that. This was something I didn't think for a second that I would be able to do. But there I was, pulling it off like a champ. I even had with me, one of Kian's cars. I took when nobody was looking.Kian made sure I learned how to drive. I was hesitant at first and gave him a hard time, but now I’m happy he had asked me to. There was one thing odd about my relationship with Kian though, he gave me access to all his stuff, but he still didn’t trust me.It felt good to me doing it. Sonia didn't seem to be doing alright. I felt valued that I was the person to call when she did.I barely had friends, mum and dad used to keep me away from people, they made me believe it was because I was different from the others. I felt I wasn’t worth being their friend. Now I know it was because they were ashamed of what they did to me.When I first met Tara, I was excited because she was friendly towards me.

Kian's POV: I know it was stupid of me to organize dinner, and to force her to sit here with me, instead of apologizing, but I let my pride get the best of me.I had thought of a gesture to perform, in order to make up for what I did to her earlier, but there was nothing I could think of. So I asked the maids for help, and they suggested dinner. When Lessia arrived at the dinner table , I could feel the anger emanating from her. I was surprised she had come, after what I did, but I was glad as well. There was an awkward silence that lingered in the atmosphere, accompanied by the tension that was brewing between us.I wanted to apologize to her so bad, and after that, take her lips in mine and kiss her until she was out of breath. I craved for her even more than the meal that was before us. I wanted so much to bend her over the table, to make her scream, the only time I wanted her to do so. But I just couldn’t make out words to tell her.She grew angrier as time went by, when she coul

Kian's POV At first, I had been agitated and utterly annoyed about Lessia leaving without telling me. But the more time went by and I still didn’t hear anything from her, my anger was replaced with worry. She had left with my car, that’s why the guards couldn’t stop her, because they thought I was aware. I instantly regretted teaching her how to drive. After I located the tracker I set on the car she had gone along with, I felt scared for her. The tracker pointed out to a deserted road and I sincerely wondered why Lessia would stop at such a place. That was impossible truly that she would alight there to clear her mind, if that was really what she left the house for. I felt worried as I wondered what might have happened to her. She might have had an accident or the car might have broken down with no one to help her take a look at it.Immediately, I got into my car and sped off, taking Williams with me. After what happened the last time in the woods, I supposed I would need assistanc

Lessia's POV As I opened my eyes gradually, everything seemed blurry. The room was dark, calm and totally quiet, it made me wonder where exactly I was. I only got more and more confused as I sat up, feeling the soft bed beneath me.Last thing I remembered, I was surrounded by a group of men and now I was here on a bed. Did Kian have those men bring me to wherever this was? I wondered as my sight got clearer. If he did, then he sure had a messy sense of humor. Then I felt someone stir beside me and confirmed quickly that this was really Kian's "romantic" way of bringing me back. I was absolutely sure that he was the one because I could feel the mate bond. But the fact that he just laid there, saying nothing seemed a little suspicious."I do not know what you're doing, Kian. But do you think this is funny?" I asked in mild annoyance. But I was replied by the whooshing breeze instead and it really got me thinking what he was up to. Why didn't he say anything to me? I asked almost aloud.

Kian's POV All attempts aimed at finding Lessia had returned futile and I was getting frustrated. The mere thought of her ever leaving had always had a maddening effect on me and now, she was truly gone. The insanity was on a gradual rampage and my entire being struggled in this difficult fight.“What do you mean you couldn’t find her there?” I thundered at Jacob, who had just returned from the Moonbeam pack, I had sent him to find Lessia.“I’m sorry Alpha, it was a wrong information. Although the woman has a striking resemblance to Miss Lessia. She’s not the one.”A sudden feeling of anger coursed through me, I blamed myself for her disappearance. If I had just apologized to her, maybe she would still be here. The pack house had been so quiet without her presence and I couldn't deny that I missed her dearly. Although she was stubborn most of the time, her aura was that of light and cheerfulness. And coincidentally, the attacks had seized since the day she went missing, which height

Kian's POV It was clear as daylight that I wasn't going to take William's plan. Even though I was extraordinarily tempted to do as he said, my mind kept taking me back to that time I had done something so similar and I got punished so badly. I knew we still hadn't recovered from it. I didn't want that happening to us us a pack again. And so this time around, I was taking it to the Alpha cabinet as I always should have, a long time ago. I needed to try a little bit of luck, however I could.“You’re in charge while I’m gone, make sure you alert me as soon as you find any useful information about Lessia’s whereabouts, okay?” I said to William, as I made my way to the car.He eyed me for while, like he was contemplating whether or not he should speak.“Contrary to what you think, Kian, I don’t hate Lessia. I know she’s very important to you and I don’t want anything bad to happen to her. I was only doing all those things for your own good. You seemed to have been distracted by her prese

Lessia's POV: “Arghhh!” I screamed, my voice echoed through the dimly lit room that was my prison as well as my new home.“Are you alright, miss Lessia?” A guard asked as he stood outside the door of my cell.“Do I look like I’m anywhere near okay?” I rolled my eyes at him.“How can I help ma’am?” He furrowed his brows.“I need to go for a walk, my legs hurt, it feels like it’s been forever since I’ve been locked inside this cell.”“I’m sorry ma’am, I can’t let you out of here, unless the Alpha says so. I hope you understand? However, if you need anything else, please let me know.” He explained before going back to his post.Day two of being abducted by Maddox, and I was still confused on what he wanted. It was more of a dream that I had no idea of it ever coming true. But
