Maddox' POV:

I wasn't quite sure of what Lessia meant by saying she would make me suffer, but I sure did know that I wasn't going to let her out of my sight again.

All these while, I had been punishing her for being my mate because she was a nobody. But seeing her with Kian, made me realize my mistakes.

In just a matter of time, he had turned her into a princess, parading her around like he owned her. I wished I was able to see the look on his face when he realized she was gone.

That day when he called to ask if I had her, I was certain he knew I did. But there was nothing he could do to back it up. And that made it even more fun.

The almighty Kian, becoming helpless and hopeless, because he tried to fight Maddox Slater. Whoever told him he could win against me?

As for Lessia, I knew it would take a while for her to accept me, but I wasn’t going to give up. I would make her fall for me gradually, until she forgets about that coward.
