" Reyna hurry" ushered Valentina as she ran with Daxton on her back. Her father's leg still haven't recovered letting him run in such a condition might do more harm than good, fortunately, her mother was strong enough to run with her father on the back. Reyna rushed in the direction her mother had run off to. With her sensitive hearing, she could hear the howls of a dozen furious wolves coming after her. Reyna was certain that Glen wasn't with them because even though she pulled back her power that subdued him, his emotions must be in a jumbled mess. If he really came after her then there was a high chance of him losing control of his emotions and wolf if that happened, it was likely that everyone in the black moon pack might die or at worse get seriously injured to be tortured by the Hades of their pack.    

Cain regarded the female in front of him curiously. He knew that she was entrapped by Glen, the reason was currently unknown because- he couldn't investigate everything about her in just nine hours. For the first time in his life, Cain felt as if he was thrown off his loop. Every time he faced someone the only expression they had was of terror and fear, whether it was an ally or enemy they all feared that he might lose whatever control he had over his dire wolf, and maim them to death, all thanks to the rumours and his past. Reyna came as a surprise, and if she was born just to torment him, Cain found that he was becoming awfully hard as primal hunger swept through his system, building small cracks in his self-control.  

Reyna acted without thinking, her reaction was based on her instinct, Glen had her parents in his clutches and she couldn’t let Cain hurt him while he still held her parents in his hands, she was scared, anxious and nervous and when she got nervous she would act impulsively like right now. She only wanted to distract Cain but once her mouth landed on his, Cain pretty much took over. His mouth crushed against hers, Thalia gasped when he nipped on her bottom lip, once her lips parted he forcefully thrust his tongue inside her mouth sweeping against hers. The kiss was dominant and possessive just like him, he meshed his lips with her demanding the response he wanted from her.Cain collared her throat possessively while the other skimmed down her side encircling her waist, Reyna didn't even know that she was itching toward his body planting herself against his solid chest. After a quick stop to the infirmary of the pack, where Cain had treated his injuries. Not that he had needed that but Bree, the pack’s healer and Cain’s best friend had insisted that he should have his injuries treated no matter how small.  Bree had come off as someone sweet, safe and timid … a female that Reyna despised and it was safe to say that the feelings were mutual. The healer had chatted with her like she was her long lost sister or something but Reyna wasn’t fooled.  Mainly for two reasons first, she could smell someone’s bullshit from a mile away and secondly, no matter how much that healer tried to sweet talk with her. Reyna could sense her wariness and the thick jealousy rolling off Bree’s body.  

“I don't like you.“  Yeah that summed up her stay in Cain’s pack. She already knew that her stay in the pack wouldn’t be easy or peaceful. Not when her wolf was practically riding her senses being fascinated by Cain.  Despite her inherent denial of not letting Cain get to her. The animal was drawn to his strength, his scent, and the dominance that rolled of his body with every sure and confident step he took.  Reyna wasn't worried about resisting him since they were faking being temporary mates and shit. Her cravings would be sooner or later satisfied …which was a good thing because Reyna was never good at resisting temptation and Cain wasn't an easy guy to resist for any woman.
