Chapter 1

Reyna woke to a cold, dark room with no sign of anyone being there. Her hazy eyes did a quick search around the room and when she didn't see Glen, she inevitably heaved a sigh of relief.

" Damn" She cursed under her breath as she tugged onto the handcuffs with which Glen, her Alpha has chained her to his bed. She looked left and right, trying to see if she could break the handcuffs or the headboard of the bed. Her gaze fell on a violently purple mark on her neck, and then her entire body stiffened.

That fucking bastard actually marked her!

Reyna couldn't help but take a tentative sniff of her scent, fortunately for her - her scent hasn't mixed with Glen. Yet. Which means Glen failed to mate with her again. Though it didn't matter if she didn't look for a way out for herself and her parents who were in Glen's control it was a matter of time before Glen forcibly takes her as his mate.

And this is the thing she would never accept. Because she knows Glenn more than anyone else.

Reyna was an aide, not only able to heal physical wounds, but also capable of neutralizing every negative emotion, healing any trauma, and uplifting moods of the pack. Aides could easily invade others' minds and pick up their thoughts. Most importantly they were so rare that only an Aide could give birth to an Aide, so not every pack owns an Aide. Given that her mother, who had the same gift as her, had mated with her father and had no other child, Glen was so freaking hung up on the idea of possessing her

.

That's how Reyna got to know Glen was a lunatic rather than an honourable Alpha. To the entire pack, Glen was a saviour, saving them from the oppression of the ex-Alpha, his own father, by ripping off his throat. Only she knew he killed his father just out of ' boredom', not for justice. But no one believed her. Even worse, they hated her for she was unwilling to submit to their great Alpha.The only reason why they didn't kill her was Glen needs her.  

While she tried to disentangle the handcuffs, the door was pushed open. Amber, a curvy blonde who was fake from head to her toes, sauntered inside with a mocking grin.

" well, well, well look who is it? Glen's bitch"

Reyna rolled her eyes and smiled at her just as fake as hers" I don't know anything about being Glen's bitch why don't you tell me about it? Oops, I forgot you have been trying your best to be his bitch but he never so much as glanced your way?"

“don't be so smug, you are just his toy, a blow-up doll, aren't you? If he really cared about you do you think anyone would have dared to so much as touch you?"

Amber stretched out her fingertips with acrylic nails to touch the mark on Reyna’s neck.

“Oh yeah, I’m often ‘touched’ by you.” Reyna was not just referring to Amber’s daily harassment, “As an unneeded one, your loyalty to him is really touching.”

"I am the beta female of the pack and no one ever tries to talk back with me!"

"He made you the beta because I rejected his proposal of working together with him, in other words, you were given what I didn't want! "

Amber was riled up just as Reyna wanted her to so when she tried to scratch Reyna's face, Reyna took advantage of her pace and bit her nail off.

Amber screamed, holding her bleeding hand.

" was it hard enough to wake you up? Now get out. " Reyna used the nail to open the handcuffs it was tricky but not impossible . " or I swear the second I get these off my wrists, I will shove your head so deep in your ass, that you will see the light through your mouth. "

Amber was scared off by the determination in her eyes.

" sure... I think I will ease up Glen since you couldn't do the job. He will need comfort tonight. Remember to tell me whether or not you liked how I taste after I'm done with him. "

What did it mean by tonight?

As Amber marched out, Reyna finally managed to get herself free, frowning at Amber’s prediction. But all she cared about was going back home. Her parents must have been worried. Last night Glen made her stay by threatening her with her parent's safety again.

On the way home, all the wolves stared at her with hostile eyes. Reyna was used to it, but after walking for a while, she noticed that today was not quite the same, and there was much more resentment in everyone's eyes.

"Ouch!" Reyna shrieked as their resentment was poured onto her. Their acid-like gazes stung and almost made her nauseous enough to vomit. Reyna turned around but couldn't find the culprit because everyone here looked the same like they were her enemy.

"You deserved it." An enforcer in the pack said coldly. "If you cured Glen, he wouldn't have lost control of his temper on the battlefield and made the wrong decision. We lost. "

She was taken aback, surprised that Glen lost. he had been fighting for years and hardly ever lost, and she wasn't even sure which pack they were fighting against now. But losing this battle was not going to bring any good news, if anything she was in for another rough night.

Reyna ran home amidst the abuse and curses of the crowd

. When she pushed open the door of her house, her mother was in the kitchen making medicine for her sick father.

" what's wrong? Don't tell me Glen did something to Dad last night --"

" He is fine, Glen didn't do anything. Not yet." said her mother quietly.

That was only a half-truth. Reyna could tell that and her mother knew it. Valentina Aniston was once the most respectable Aide in the pack, but when Glen forced Reyna to submit to him, she and her family were almost ruined.

Glen used her father first, who was much more submissive than Reyna and Valentina. A submissive wolf in a pack generally balances out the power; they don't fight wars. But Glen still sent her father to the war. The result was as everyone predicted her father's leg was severely clawed and her mother had to give up her position as the whole pack's healer to take care of him. So Reyna 'understood' her family was in Glen's hands.

"Come, clean yourself, you stink of him ." Obviously, Valentina has been used to her daughter's circumstances now. But once she was full of vitality, confidence and pride. Now her Arctic blue eyes only glazed with worries and concern for her husband and daughter twenty-four seven. Her mother had lost herself in the long run of protecting her family.

"There must be something we can do." murmured Rena as she watched her mother sigh heavily, "I can't let him hurt my parents anymore ."

But the fact was, she didn't even know what to do.

At night, Reyna forced herself back to Glen's house

The second she opened the door, her eyes met with a pair of familiar ice-cold eyes, even though the person in front of her was smiling, his smile never reached his eyes.

"I didn't see you at dinner. Guess you've eaten with your parents?"His mild tone showed nothing but apathy, which felt like hundreds and thousands of wasps were stinging her skin.

"How was the battle?" Reyna responded as calmly as she could as she followed him inside.

Glen turned around abruptly at her question and reached his hand out to touch his mark on her neck, making Reyna shiver. "You tell me." without a warning, he grabbed her neck and drew her close to him, "Read my mind. See what kind of lurch we were in without your father as bait."

Reyna could feel his wolf fighting for control. His bloodthirst was hardly reined in and her skin was blistering for feeling his emotions.

"Calm down. I'm here." She said in a rare soft tone, holding his wrist to pacify his fury. "Don't harm yourself. You're the Alpha. We need you to be steady."

Glen smiled in surprise although it didn't ease his cruelty. "How sweet,  you are being real tame tonight. Does it mean you're ready to be mine?" he slammed his lips on hers so hard that he drew blood.

Disgusted Reyna moved back, provoking him to ruthlessly bite on her lower lip making her wince.

"You should have made a better effort to be nice to me, sweetheart." He sighed as he patted her cheek, "Do you like being spat on? Being beaten up like five times a week? I can put a stop to all this...just say yes to my proposal be my mate, those who are bullying you will rush to suck up to you."

Glen narrowed his eyes, forcefully yanking her hand in his pants and making her rub his balls. The rape-and-resistance game was gonna start again. Not only the humiliation of being his sex slave but also the growing fear of losing her parents made everything 

more unbearable now.

"In your dreams," said Reyna through gritted teeth.

Her response infuriated Glen, worse than ever. He chuckled in a low voice then tightened his hold on her throat until she started to suffocate, clawing on his hand.

"I am your Alpha, remember? Would you like me to send your father to the battlefield again? And what if he loses his  other leg as well?Your mother will have to be degraded to an omega. Because the only job I gave her was to heal her husband and if she can't, what use is she to me !"

Enough! Reyna's wolf lunged at her surface. With a roar, sheexerted her power on Glen - an Aide can not only clear away the negative emotions but also terrorize their enemies by enhancing their fear, anger and frustration.

Glen's hold on her loosened as she expected. Reyna unsheathed her claws and stabbed into his chest before knocking on his face with her knee mercilessly.

She never used this power before because it was a lot more taxing to terrorize than heal and in case Glen found out and did more crazy things to her family, that would have been bad . But now, she decided it was time to put an end to it .

She was going to leave him right now. Leave this pack that gave her nothing - With her parents.
