[20] The Game

Kaya’s POV Azian and Khloe were still talking to our Gym teacher, immersed in a conversation I couldn’t quite hear. My eyes trailed away from them finding its way back to the gym floors, my mind replaying what I had seen earlier between the two of them. It was basically official now that they were dating because unlike me, he had actually stayed with her. Plus, he hadn't even looked my away, or stolen a glance. The thought stung a little. No, it stung a lot. I was trying hard to not let it get to me, but I couldn’t help but feel used in a way, and kind of embarrassed. Maybe I had just imagined it all, Him kissing me that day? Maybe it was me that kissed him. My eyes widened at the thought, turning back to glance at him, still immersed in deep conversation. I decided not to dwell on that thought, I really believe that I would go crazy if I thought about it too much. "Hey," Ally coaxed. "Mm?" I hummed, l

[21] Nightmares

Azians POVMy eyes were stuck on my gorgeous little mate, her long blond hair trailed her back as she put it in a ponytail, before turning around throwing that smile that shifted feelings inside me. I couldn’t take my eyes off her, she was something of a blessing to me. I watched her approach us, climbing onto the bed before straddling me. My hands traveled up her thighs, her body shivering with the slight heat I was producing on my fingertips, “you’re staying with me tonight right?” I asked, my tone needy. I wanted her beside me. I knew that sleeping beside my mate would make me feel better.I was looking forward to having her in my arms tonight. I wanted to have a good night's sleep for the first in forever and I knew from whomever deep within me my mate would provide the exact comfort I needed. These past few days ever since I found my mate my nightmares had become a lot worse, and I had a feeling it was because my dragon wan

[22] Request

Kaya’s POV "Oh, no, no, no, please no!" Aunt Lily suddenly groaned from the direction of the kitchen. I looked up from my book, the one called Beasts of the other Realm.  A book I found at the school library actually for some reason. I was yet to find the other. Ara, the school librarian suggested I try the library in town, recommending that it had a rich supply of supernaturalized books or something along the line so of that. Long story short, Ara loved her myths that were for sure. I would probably have to go down there this afternoon and check it out. I had no homework or assignments this week so this was definitely the best weekend to get everything done. Besides reading had managed to get my mind off a lot of things that had happened during this week. Plus I would be better off out of the house com noon. Apparently, it’s my Aunt's turn to host her ‘famous’ book club. “No, No, No!” I heard her call out again and I sighed. My

[23] Confusion

Azians POV. Smart mobile phones were one of humanity’s most prized inventions but one I despised to the core. I found no use in it but appreciated the fact you could stay in touch with those you needed to. I had always kept my phone strictly for calls, I didn’t care about social media and I didn’t care about the text. Neither Alpha nor Omega had a need for such a tool. It was simple, make and receive a call… full stop. At least that was what it used to be used for until of course, our dear little mate introduced us to texts. An idea she sold to us based slowly on the fact that she would keep us updated on every little thing. And for that, we looked forward to each text we received from her, but the replying was torturous I had to admit. None of us knew how to handle this device when it came to ‘texting’ and the bizarre languages of yellow faces humans called emojis. The only one I knew who knew as much as Khloe about texting was Alessia, but

[24] The Offer

Azian’s POV.   I parked the car in front of the mini-mart five blocks away from our house, staring aimlessly through the windshield, my mind trying to figure out what had just happened, prodding onto any feel of Alpha, but it seemed he didn’t want to be bothered, even less explain his despicable behavior around our mate. I glanced at my shades debating if I should put them on. Taking a quick look at the deserted parking lot, I figured there would only be one or two humans around. So I left them behind locking the door to the car before proceeding into the minimart. All I had to do was pick up a few things for Abigail’s and the other witches human book club they had joined and had been attending for two years since we arrived in Torent, but walking into the minimart I wished I had given in to Edwin who had begged to come along. Edwin had offered to go or at least escort me seeing as he is my guardian, but I saw no point in it. I k

[25] Eyes

Kaya’s POV There as a lot of things going through my mind at the moment, of all that happened at the mini-mart on Eighth Street. I finally had the chance to talk to the jerk, well I’d like to think we had a conversation, even though half the time I as shaking half my wits, nevertheless, I was proud of me for getting a few sentences out of me this time. My mind flashed back to the look of those pretty tired eyes, I couldn’t understand how he could look so drained yet so magnificent all at once. One thing was for sure, Azian was hiding something behind that pretty face. It could be the fact that he had insomnia or some kind of other sickness. As they say, no one’s perfect, even though that statement is extremely hard to believe when you’re staring into the eyes of that Greek god.  Sighing, I slipped a hand into my sleeve jacket reaching for my backpack. I skipped down the flight of stairs with one arm of my bag slung around my left should

[26] Boys and Beasts

Kaya’s POV He leaned in and immediately my heart rate increased. Not that it hadn’t run a marathon already when we first saw him. But why was he standing so close to me? I knew he knew he had an effect on me. No screw that, if you’re that gorgeous you must know your effect on everyone within a fifty-foot radius. So of course he knew that being this close to me was doing to the rate of my heartbeat, considering the fact that the last time he was this close to me his hands could not be tamed- "Is that an offer?" He whispered, his voice as beautiful as the one in my dreams. I still couldn't believe, he was actually talking to me. Actually standing this close to me, I thought it would never happen again after Khloe. I run out of breath only able to nod. The anticipation of what would happen next, holding me at gunpoint. I knew I shouldn’t feel this way for a jerk like Azian, but I couldn’t control my f

[27] A little Remedy

Azians POV My eyes opened letting the darkness seep in as I laid in bed, trying hard to bury the memory of the nightmare I was just from having. I knew what the time was but nevertheless tapped my watch, 3 minutes after one am, the same time I always woke up by nightmare. Sweating as usual but my breathing controlled. I sighed, swinging my legs over the edge of the bed, pausing for a while trying to recollect my sanity, burying my head into my hands. Fuck, it was getting worse. Alpha had become more distant and Omega was weakest at this point. Helpless was a word far associated with a golden dragon but 3 minutes after one was exactly that. At least today, I hadn't woken Edwin. Taking a deep breath in and throwing on a shirt, I got up, walking out of the door. I closed the door with care knowing I didn’t mind if Edwin was woken up by the noise but Alessia need rest with that ever-active brain of her. Getting out of my room, my thoughts

[28] A Sister and a Mate

"Do you really think it was a wise idea to invite her to practice?" Anna asked Ena as they walked into the kitchen. "It’s his mate dear, I'm surprised he hadn't asked her himself," Abigail answered instead, laying breakfast for them. She sighed taking a look at the breakfast she had just prepared, a lost look in her eye, “besides, I believe that we all have to start accepting what Khloe is to Azian.” She looked up at Maria who had reached for some bacon, across the counter, before trailing over the rest. Ena nodded taking a seat beside her sister, "I'm surprised about many other things," she muttered. "Like what?" Anna eased, folding her arms. "You don't see anything strange about the two of them?" Maria asked licking her fingers. Abigail moved towards the stair, one leg on the first step, peering up it, "Boys and girls! Breakfast!!" she yelled, before returning back to the older witches. "What strange things?" Anna replied, h

[29] Lessons

The silence that eloped them lasted for a full minute.  Everybody was shocked to the core. "Your step-sister?” Ena echoed.  How was it they were just finding this out?  Come to think of it, they knew very little thing about Khloe when it came to her family life. Though she talked about her mom and Dad all the time she rarely said anything about, or even mentioned having a step-sister. "Yes, I thought you all knew I had a step-sister,” she replied folding her arms as if that was something she had mentioned casually every day, “my mother remarried her father basically," she explained moving to sit beside them, eyeing the food before her. Everything was all carbs. She looked up at Edwin who had some bacon grease on his lower lip and shook her head giving him a short chuckle. None of them could speak past that, all we're left speechless. "Why is everything so quiet?" a voice and all heads moved to Azian who was descending down the
